Mr McStreak
Good for you, never easy quitting, and people say it gets easier over time. Personally I don't think time is an issue, its more to do with the environment you are in. If you are finding yourself stressed, perhaps in the workplace for example, then you are fighting a constant battle. If you are in a calm environment then in my opinion you will find it much easier.

ive never ever smoked but the mrs smokes 60 mayfair a day , 7 days a week ,,,,,,,, even ignoring the health issues thats around 110quid a week up in smoke .
i wish she would quit for the obvious health issues ,,,,,,,,,,, and just living together probably means im passive smoking 5 a day myself . (thats how roy ''record breakers'' castle died)
but as with all addiction ,,,,,,,, you've got to WANT to quit ,,,,,,,,,,, and tracy doesn't ,,,,, she enjoys smoking ,,,,,, and as much as it breaks my heart to watch her killing herself ,,,,,, im just her husband , not her master ,,,,,,, i cant make her quit if she's happy smoking.

smoked for 14 years and quit 4 months ago using the Tablets (3 month coarse) but took em for 2 weeks and made me feel ill so stopped takin em and give up anyway as I already had not smoked for 6 days by then.
They are good but they do have alot of side effects, some may not get any with them but I have suggested them to friends and the ones that have started them are either doin well or have stopped smoking

6 million ways to pie....choose 1
I have saved about £200 this month based on 20 a day at £5 a pack, but I would spend a little more at weekends when boozing.trayhop123 wrote:ive never ever smoked but the mrs smokes 60 mayfair a day , 7 days a week ,,,,,,,, even ignoring the health issues thats around 110quid a week up in smoke .

how about a greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray.

Frank Sinatra was a case in point! A smoker or drinkers favourite guy is the health freak who suddenly drops dead one day and then everyone will say "well davie didn't smoke or drink and look what happend to that poor sod".JG wrote:Not necessarily, smoking lots doesn't mean you WILL get COPD, cancer, heart disease etc, it just means your chances of getting these things are INCREASED. We all know that variance is a bizarre mistress, Tracy could well outlive you Lee. You might die next year from an allergy to passionfruit J20 and Tracy lives to 110. You just never know for sure.
That said I don't want to encourage smoking, but if she doesn't want to give up, what can you do?
