Thanks Bob/UP. Scoreboard name is PETE, but you're unlikely to see it unless you're down round Southampton/Portsmouth way. (Though will be in Colchester next weekend so might see if I can have some success in VB territory ...).

Top score only 1795 so some way behind you both yet.

Tis a good place to start. :D

I topped some boards down Southampton way a few months ago. There were some good scores by a crew in the Hogs Head that took a littlish while to beat. Have I been usurped by your good self on any machines?

PM me if you fancy word-upping it Sun eve in Colch, as I should be around.

Go to the Spoons and check out the boards there - one of them is prob the overall most impressive in the UK...

Bob,

I would consider it a signal honour to share a WU session with you - unfortunately my wife is less convinced of the importance of the game and has indicated that I should not expect to have more than half an hour before returning to family duties.

If I make it to the Spoons and see someone knocking in 2000s I'll take the liberty of introducing myself !

Played in the Hogshead a while back but had been drinking on an empty stomach and scores were embarrassingly low - probably wouldn't have knocked LUGGAGE off the high scores...

Managed 1801 today in The Star in Gosport - first 1800+ score for me. At this rate of improvement I'll be getting 2000 in about 15 years.

Pete

but there was a certain neatness about POMPOUSNESS and FULSOMENESS on the same foray (even though in my hypocrisy i prefer pomposity)
nobody ever wins on those things.

Too bloody right it's not allowed. It's a proper noun.
