Grosvenor Victoria - very profitable night, culminating in this beast of a feature ! I'll be kept in shoes for another 6 months.

Actually they aren't too bad, you just need a larger float and a bit of patience.

I've got a mate that has a tendency to head off to the casino if he's fallen out with his missus and it's 2-3am and the bars are shutting.
He's a big drinker, 20 pints in a session over the day is a steady saturday to him. He's been known to fall asleep at the slots as he plays it on Autoplay.
Twice he's walked out with around £2K from a £250 stake.

Pure Luck, still didn't make his missus happy though when he threw the wad of cash in her face when he rolled in at nearly 7am :D

A large float and patience playing B1s = no money surely? If I fancy a punt I might put a tenner in one, but I'd certainly never have a session on them.

Well how it went was they fell out the day before and she told him to go his mothers, he didn't want to knock his mum up at 7am on a sunday so headed home, she accused him of sleeping with someone so he admitted going the casino, so then she threw the Wasting loads of money line at him which is when he pulled out the wads of 20's and threw em at her.

He said the last thing he heard as he fell on his bed was "Well I'm having that wardrobe & TV Unit

if i go to the casino i only take money i can lose and not bother about, ill start on roulette, if i win a bit ill bung whatever in a fruity..

went in last time with £150, to to £300 on roulette.. ran £220 in a fruity and got bored... left it down, and a bit fed up...

the time before that i put £80 in the machine and got £130 out..

they are a proper gamble though (to me)

just high enough stakes to put a lump in my throat, and if i was to hit a reasonable win, enough of a paypack to get a small cheer..

whatever happens, id never want to get chasing a win, that'd be sick...

Please ! Compensated of course.

And I beg to differ that you can't make money on them, you certainly can, it's just a ballache at the best of times since you are usually waiting for hardened punters to leave a machine and not give it to one of their ten mates who have 3 reserved signs covering other machines they are yet to play (yes, pet hate of mine).

There are some £4K'ers that give excellent reads as to whether it's on suck or pay. These keep me in punting money when I fancy a blast on something that I haven't seen being rowed.

That particular machine I got the monster feature from was given to me by a well-to-do old lady whilst I was on the machine next to her. I made small talk with her, tutted at the tightness of her slot and enquired as to her success in playing bridge lately (I saw her scorecard in her handbag as she delved for more notes). She decided to let the nice young man (me!) try my luck on it when she left, rather than one of the hovering regulars.

I got that, it was just my futile effort at making a crude joke.

Fair play BM, I realised as I was clicking submit reply that my question was a little insulting to your intelligence. However, being in a slightly pig headed mood due to playing a Double Deal or no Deal, I submitted it anyway to see what would happen.

Not for the faint hearted, but the rewards, should you find something of good worth must be huge (and not an angry pub landlord in sight).
