Is it a clone of shitty lone ranger or more like a normal electro? Can you gamble your wins or have to play for number boards?

Bejeweled as an AWP, wtf O.o ?!

I downloaded this game as a shareware along with Big Money and Tip Top waaaaaaaaaaay back in April 2003. Bejeweled kinda stemmed from the age-old concept where you had to match falling blocks. It was by colour though rather than by shape, so it was more like Sega Columns than Nintendo Tetris. The centre board on the AWP picture here does seem to relate how I remember the game. It was off a web site called Popcap, which is a competitor to the old MSN Gaming Zone. I remember Big Money having rather funky music too. The Popcap demos were all quite good.

This is news though. I never thought that a demo would make it to an AWP 7 years later! I tend to regard most of my shareware/demos/freeware as being obscure.

If you're suffering from an addiction to fruit machines, i suggest a popcap game called Peggle, you'll never leave your couch.

Seriously, i missed a nights sleep once to this game.

NO greater endorsement indeed, other than perhaps losing two nights sleep!

Yeah. Wayyyyyyyyyy too addictive! Had to do Peggle and then Peggle Nights!

As for the machine, it looks nice but doubt it uses the jewel feature enough.

I never played Peggle, but thanks for the heads up on that :-) Didn't realise Bejeweled dated even further back than 2k3. I used to play Popcap games online too such as Hearts (Sweaty Betty) and Dominoes... back in 2002. Ali Baba slot machine too, in free play. Considering how fast internet / web moves over the years, it intrigues me that Bejeweled is still going strong.

Come to think of it, Peggle wasn't quite as bad as when I found the Slingo site!
