rogue publicans

Im a quiz machine player who has made not far off 1000 posts on the swp side of the forum and this is my first post on your side.
I visited a pub in Devizes in the last few days called The Artichoke (Bath Rd). The landlord must either be the worlds most suspicious publican or the ultimate tightwad.The quizzer was turned off and on the fruit machine (DOND) was a massive sign stating 'please ask for permission to play machine.Anybody playing it without permission will be asked to leave the machine'.
Interested to know if anybody has had dealings with this numpty.I believe that publicans with this sort of attitude lives should be made a misery so I always direct quizzers to pubs Ive been barred from,so perhaps there could be co-operation from both sides of the forum to out the rogues.

My suggestion is to get as many people on here as possible to ring 01380 723400 at ten minute intervals on a partcular day or evening and ask "Is it OK to come in and play your fruit/quiz machine ?". They would soon get seriously p155ed off with this after a while.

How about, say tomorrow (after this post has had a lot of views) person A phones at 7.00 pm, then person B at 7.10 and so on. Even if there are only four or five helpers they can just make a rota up.

Perhaps a few pizzas for the pub darts team party wouldn't go amiss?

Rentokil can do with some extra work as I think they are very good at dealing with unwanted rats.

Hmmm, I might send them into William Hill in Euston as they tried to get me off a Lucky8 even though I was on £2-a-spin with £566 in the bank.
