played this.. Not too impressed although didn't put a great deal through it. Got 18 on feature and another time thirty odd. Not sure how you could force if you wanted to as almost like a MAB program but the feature would probably give you 55 or something like that rather than a jackpot. It's dissapeared from the arcade I played it in so probably didn't do too well. (for them)

dunno what this is doing now because i'm 10 months out of the loop ,but when this was first brought into the arcade i worked the cashbox takings were awesome. we had a couple of complaints about it not being pottable from regulars. we requested a different prog from concept but it was not forthcoming.

this machine actually took more dough than any other lowtech we hadb for quite a while even though it was in a poor position.

this is what concept do..............................they take a tired old skanky bar-x cabinet and kit it up with something that was outlawed by the geneva gaming convention .

although this is quite capable of a go empy payer it is an abomination.

'random gold' is a joke title with the punchline placed cleanly on the chin of the poor fool playing it.

I've never felt comfortable playing any Concept Games machine to be honest, and Random Gold is no exception. There's one near me on 30p play/£35 jackpot - I'll try 3 or 4 quid in it every now and again if I haven't seen anything come out of it, but I'll never get involved on one as I don't feel I can trust them. The word 'Random' in the name doesn't make me want to play one for any length of time. If I knew that a jackpot or a decent win comes along fairly regularly, and you can't go too long without something happening, then I may feel inclined to press one a bit harder.

By the way I did see someone have a jackpot hold after nudge. They held the two jackpots instead and lost. Then did the same thing again 2 credits later. When I got on it I went for a jackpot on the first nudge I got. It held after nudge and came in when I pressed start. Looks like if it wants to give a win it will keep trying until you get it.

Despite my feelings for Random Gold, I do quite like their other game, Poundstretcher, on 50p play £70. I think the profile is random again, but when you get the £££ feature it can go for some decent amounts. Never seen a jackpot yet though. Apparently the hopper holds £500 so maybe there's a decent run in it somewhere.

that's the case with their big 7 and red bar kits also.if you get a nudge for a win and refuse it,it will then keep nudging for that win again providing no higher win is there on subsequent credits.

the older Poundstretcher is a great game on 30p £35, without concepts merlin board (legacy) the new non legacy legislation really ruined the lo-tecs

but Poundstretcher is the better kit

don't rate

reel magic
bullion run or
random gold

all float levels can be set at £200 £300 & £500

Some helpful feedback there, and I do remember you talking about this one a while back mr lugsy and saying it was a good earner (for arcade).

I found one full and although there were no awful board costs, I just had a few £5 wins, some which held and one £10 win. I was £40 down and still had loads of better machines to play, so just sacked it. Originally I was going to have a meaty session, but bailed and changed directive when I saw the word random.

My hypothesis is that each £0.50 credit adds a random amount to bank in the range £0.01 to £70, with obviously a bias to the sub £0.50 amounts but the odd meaty sum gets added to the pot. This reduces stupid costs for wins. I'd imagine if a nudge is given and it can afford to hold after nudge for that win, then a %chance is given for hold after nudge, probably 50/50.
If the pot becomes large then it will do a 'streak' of winks etc every other credit or keep nudging to jackpot etc.
How lucky to see hold after nudge on BAR BAR not taken and then they leave!!! Lolling out loud.

I think despite the sticker, it is most likely random. I guess if you keep refusing wins, eventually it'll have value for bars. Not that it would help unless there's a save that randomly accrues for holds on bars (ie different pots), I doubt it's that complex.

It pretty much levels the playing field, bar instances where a player has gone say only for high wins and leaves it with a few cherries available OR someone has gone a while without a win, chances are +ve that win is due.

My first win was £4 in for cherries, so I should have walked soon after that.

I've also played £££ stretcher and got £££ on my first £1 for £8.

I've only really dibbled and dabbled £2 in here and there with 'em, shrapnel, in case Captain Discipline logs on with his PSP and sees all this. First time I got involved as it was full, but all said and done, won't be having any major sessions on this one, but probably a neat idea.

I can just 'feel' in my bones jackpot is hard to get on this one. I've had all wins bar jackpot on this one. 90% payout but when it's hybrid random (as good as), just not worth it for the long game.

That is of course assuming my theory is correct.

There is a Random Gold(Concept Games) app on the iPhone. Just bought it to have a look.

£70 pot, same sounds, but there isn't a feature to get. Just cherries x's and bars. Plus a golden x, which in conjunction with other x's gives £20 instead of £10.

Hold after nudge doesn't work either.

Sounds like same plan as Concept Golds in the arcades. Hold after nudge DOES work on that though. It does a little tinkle inkle noise and you get the win. My favourite is Random Gold, not a big fan of Poundstretcher. Always seems to be about £18 in for £££ for £2 or £4. I don't see the £100 for no win that you regularly get on Electrocoins. I've had a couple of £50-£80ish runs on the Random Golds. xXx holding twice on one.
I'm assuming a hybrid of randominity and compensation in their games.
Random Gold is worth a look for small value imo. Unless full I'll not be having a look at Poundstretcher. That is because I am a very disciplined player.
