General fruit machine related chat, if it doesn't fit another category discuss it here..

C.I.D just kicked my door in as it happens and asked me what I was doing in bed when there is money to be made.

I'm not suggesting that you were insulting anyone my friend, and indeed i'm sure most of those people you mentioned from Notts were delighted at having their names feature in the hallowed portals of fruitchat. But what if there was one person who read the original post and thought; "Yeah I play/live in Notts, but I don't want to make it known to everyone who uses this site, because its none of their business, so i'll elect not to respond to that post". That person may be excused for feeling slightly annoyed when his name pops up in your (as always, beautifully written) post.

Obviously most people don't give a shit, and I readily accept that most people who read this are not going to see my point, and are probably wondering what the fuck i'm rambling on about. Some may even be thinking "Shut the fuck up you fruitloop", or words to that effect.

If I wanted everyone to know where I plied my trade then under my avatar where it says location it would state; ********, sometimes ***** ***** and ********. I've got a girlfriend who lives in ******, so I can often be found playing there and also **** *******. I used to play in ****** but don't bother now because its covered by ****, ****** and ******* when he's not doing the outskirts of ******. I've also been known to travel as far as *********, but don't tell *** because he'll turn himself into the ********** **** and smash the **** out of me!! :D

All in jest....

Anyway i've made my point, got to go out now.

I've ran out of Maxwell House.

Tray, how much did you pay for the whole system. Have a few quid spare and wouldn't mind getting all nostalgic and reliving my youth.

Always remember playing Dragon's Lair at travelling fairs many moons ago (the worlds first laser disc game) also Mr Do and the usual classics.

Regarding Mikes list of childhood fruits, people used to play them because they were entertaining and a few pounds would get you hours of entertainment. Joe Public doesn't play these days because they might throw a tenner in a machine , get one game, a few spins around the board, ?, hi-lo to continue on an 11, 12 scenario. Every machine these days seems to be one of about three generic master games.
Roulette free since December 2011.

But surely if there are plenty of players then you run the risk of playing dead machines, unless you are talking about something other than machines?

How can there be anything other than Sreetfighter 2? this a serious question, this is where it stopped for me?

Double dragon and bomberjack. Ahh the memories. Caravan park late eighties, those machines and a coupla of fruits. Big 50 2p play and a 10p faux skill fruity. One day the gamers were being played.... Big 50 was free. Commence addiction. Woooooo!
