The only people who have any sort of problem with these skills are the people who used to wedge cluedos, thus making them lazy.

Having said that I did once miss it, but I blame that on being sober at the time. :D

^--- :)

As a bit of a tangent to this thread - it's funny that a lot of us had been moaning over the last couple of years that all skill elements were being removed from machines. You'd have to say that in the last few months however, it has been the thing that has made one manufacturer a very profitable one to look out for. ;)

I remember missing a DYF Lucky once in Ashford.

I'd gone through months without missing one, when I was playing the fruits with a mate from Eastbourne on a "skill til you miss" basis, and the first I knew was hearing this "FREEZE!" then seeing I was on something daft like £8.

We found that by playing "skill til you miss" really helped you become a better shot, in general.

without bragging , like i said , maybe 5-6 ever , since panther/etc emerged . so as good as anyone on here

but i think a lot of it is down to colour pigments , and what your eye can pick out.

i couldn't see alien ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and i couldn't see stan butler (just tooo much of a red/pink blend of stan/cherry/bar etc)

but money , money , money for example ,,,,,, was just as fast , and i had no probs with that .

its all about picking out your marker .

with electros/cluedos ,,,,,,,,, i have always used the first wild as my marker to silent g heartbeat the 2nd wild lol

matt b and i had this discussion on here a while back , he was of the opinion that you should always wedge,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and he thought i was just showing off because i refused to ever do it.

but when panthers first emerged nobody knew about the wedge , and so i nailed it my own way ............. and by the time we found out about the wedge , my success rate was 199 out of 200 , so why would you take a risk in changing it?

hitting them normal on the winline, gave you a huge leeway of missing and hitting top or bottom .

but wedging meant you HAD to hit your first cpl at the bottom , with more margin for error .

(a small margin yes, but still more than hitting them centre naturally )

still miss 1 in ten at least on pac/amaz though :P

Cannonball is right there... ;) It's hard to tell if they're chipped or not as the success rate on PMs is a lot lower than IAs... :|

I always found cluedo's use to catch me out believe it or not, when ever I missed i always use to hit the jackpot symbol bang in the middle, probably cos like the boxes it's wider and close to both boxes also, I was hitting what my eyes thought was a box.

Rovers/panthers/cabins are not a problem.

DMT's I hit most of the time, but like the cluedo's if I miss it's always the red seven bang on the middle, once again probably because it's red and my eyes pick it out as a box. Of course a miss will always be on £30 for me as the other speeds are no probs. Can work in ur favour sometimes tho!!!
