Trying to remember a machine

Post by Fruity »

Was in a Cafe the other day and they had a classic fruit machine in there, but by the time i got home i forgot what it was called :o ops:

Think it's around the town? It's where you throw dice and go round the board.

Any idea what it is ? Think there's 2 that are very similar around town and another ?

Thanks

Around the town has the Karaoke mic so people can croon like twats for £3ish.

Was it a Bell Fruit ??

With a pub theme I'd love to think it was project's Last Orders - big bells at the end of the feature trail and a quiz night feature which always used the same questions.

Didn't you just tap the speaker to get the £3 ?

haha definantly not Around The Town then

Yeah was a bell fruit, think it had a copper that if he caught you he'd say you have had to much to drink, and you will either lose money, or will be game over.

That's what we'd do, but you never tell that to the unsuspecting player. It's amazing what people will do for money.

Used to scratch a coin across the holes where the speaker was. Every machine I ever saw was scratched to death where the holes were. Surprised that the top part was made of perspex and not glass.
Got thrown out of a shitty arcade in Skegness for winning on this, and not allowed to enter the next few Arcades as the "security" police had radio'd ahead.

They removed that singing bit on the 'Along the Prom' version - obviously they got complaints about the damage it did to the machine.
Oh, I'm so scared.

Thats the name of it yeah. Knew it was something along those lines.

Sunset Boulevard was a totally different machine, sort of a lo tech.
