Gold Rush - Games Media

Post by Bertster_ADS »

Hi Guys,

Played this the other night and got three of the boxes in a row on the top 3 lines, then a few minutes later on the bottom three. It made everything go red and said "HOT ! HOT ! HOT !", so I presumed it was jackpot. It took me round the board and didn't automatically fill up on cash, or do anything greatly differently than normal. I ended up getting chinned on question marks, ffs !! Was the end of the night, and ended up losing loads overall on what I was playing.

Does anyone know what this was ? I am presuming it was jackpot. Would any of the top (red) features given me it, or what ?

Thanks in advance.

It just turns everything red. It's not jackpot, and unless it's buzzing, those boards aren't really worth any more than £6 at best.

its when you get the red bars

it used at least offer either the 1st streak or a £7 cashpot, and the board cant actually kill you on a ? till its offered one or the other.. dunno if the amounts are the same on a £70jp tho

This is a quality machine, and very capable of giving easily over £140!!! I take it the machine is on a £35 jackpot??(not seen one on a £70?)

The FEATURES you want to be looking out for are, GOLDSTRIKE,MINING MAYHEM,FIST FULL OF NUGGETS. If offering any of these good signs but don't take features, and obviously offer £10/£15/£35 on cash shots is all good, and 4/5 strikes/Mega streak, or £10+ in cashpot(in centre) then the little beauty is not far off if doing any of the above.

Just play for GOLD RUSH SUPA hopefully get £105/£70/£35, does like to give another GOLDRUSH/BIG MONEY afterwards(not always stright after though) u wanna be looking for the above signs after getting first GOLDRUSH if it's not happening after a couple of boards walk my friend.

Must say my favorite Games media machine not once lost on it always made a nice some of money. Just wisheed they still had them around my area

Never lost on it... never... ever?? Come on, you have never had a bad one offer £10 early on but take an age to force out for a flat?

Don't get me wrong, these could be ok, but they can rip your arm off if forced at the wrong time.

err?

why not collect the 35 cashpot? seeing as it has MORE chance of repeating than the top feature, as it quite regualy gives skill repeats??

Lets just be clear here, these never go over £140....i've played hundreds of these out, and i think i've only ever once had £35/£105 back to back. If you get that, then it aint giving more. They are just hit and miss, no real tell of when it'll go in....you can be in the same scenario on 2 different units for completely different outcomes. Eg;

a) MS offered after £20 in. Red top offered after £36 in, for £70. £34 up.
b) MS offered after £20 in. Red top blocked for another £80-£120, then goes in for whatever.

The £35/£105 sequence was about as annoying as it could possibly be on the old £125 hoppered machines, not least because it only ever seemed to come in after refusing to budge for much more than that in credit terms.

It should be mentioned that certain clones seemed to have the capability of doing the mega-rare £35/£35/£105 series from consecutive boards. Only ever saw JJ/JJG and MM do it - but very pleasant when it did. The JJG in the pub upstairs in Fenchurch Street station obliged me with it a couple of years ago.

Arcades still do well out of the GamesMedia clones, surprising how many places always set aside space for a Gold Rush or similar ....
