The next time I work anything out, (which I do quite often)
Working profitable things out by yourself is hard. I know you wouldn't want to give much away, but do you put this ability down to a comprehensive past catalogue of machine knowledge mixed with a superb mindset for generating insightful alogorithms into tackling new games?
I've worked out a few emptiers for B3s recently. My favourite one is the emptier for the 'free spin' Projects on the multigame cabinets. It works on both £70 and £500 versions. Basically I worked out that by having money in bank and pressing start you get fancy graphics that fade out displaying the text 'insufficient credit'. SO you go into Golden Spinner, get any win and run the credit to zero. Get lots of text on the screen and the processor really slows, bung in £1 and press start. AS the reels were spinning I rapidly pressed menu and collect, whilst putting in another £1. The reels will come to s aslow stop first (needs to be a losing spin btw) On return to the main screen you will be paid out your £1 in bank plus a free £500 and then just collect out your £1 credit afterwards.
My best emptier is the 'fatal exception' error on Global Draw Roulette (all varieties) which allows you to select a 'test' number.
I don't get much time to do these emptiers as I just love doing Reel Matches on £5 4 reelers, I take the odd extra £500 every month or so, just so that it doesn't get too on top. I'd also never mention it on here or tell anyone else. It normally takes best part of a day to force out the saved £30ish GATW streak.
A few tricks & emptiers have been "repeats" from past machines George. Take the superhold method from Cop The Lot, Take Note & SR & R - this was first done on Raffle Ticket from years back. Think the feature was called "Fresh Fruit", and it was offered around every 30p or so and you could use it to get the £2.40 jackpot. Woo-hoo!
Im not going to quote JG's whole post because it is mahoosive lol but about the first bit, machine knowledge of the past etc...
I think that it some of it where rips are concerned, since very similar things have worked in the past on DONDs.
The original and well outdated now CYBTB one, hit COB once on the board for a nice amount every time.
then some time later, out came family guy, a clone yeah, but this was ages after the CYBTB one was fixed, but it was fairly similar, but involved getting up via full fruit matrix instead of a normal board, but it was just the same, COB it for the same thing.
Then somewhere in between that we had the deal wheel, choose the first one, then let it time out, simple as.
Then red gamings hi lo silver, same thing, let it time out, fooks sake, this time out thing is years and YEARS old, homers meltdown turnabout feature anyone??
So yeah, previous knowledge must help, simply because similar and/or varients of the same programming holes seem to pop up again and again, year after year.
