monster cash errors

HI all, I've just changed the motherboard battery and it now doesn't recognise anything! I know how to do notey but what about coin mech hopper etc... Any help appriciated. Russ

it's a global games machine with eclipse on motherboard, when i switch on it comes up with 4.2 mem error even though i have changed battery it then has ?????? against all components?

Ok last time i had this issue i needed to change the hopper and mech to get the machine to register the new items.

Onestop tech is rubbish and the 4.2 issue happens all the time, i have never changed the batts as i find if there sited and the pubs open for 12 per day with at worst a 12 closed time the machine will not error.

Not the fix your after i know but just every single onestop mpu i have does this ( over 25 ).

Im guessing you cant change the mack or hopper as you only have one machine at home, hence unsure of how to advise you really without spending money.

Right then, done a ram reset and now when switch on get 01 pay error?

Not had a huge number of problems with Eclipse, but I know they can be a complete pain...
These use flash memory instead of roms, don't they?

Have you got the cctalk loom plugged into the right socket (the bottom one)
as the socket above is for mars looms only and the cctalk loom will fit.

those ???? your seeing mean the system can't see them either.

everything was working ok, but kept getting mem reset. was told to change battery, so did, worked fine for 3 weeks then got mem reset again, then ??????? on all so did ram reset, now getting 01 pay error, it is flash yes aaa.

Unplug everything on the cctalk line, mech, hopper, notey.
then plug one in an boot up - ie coin mech, and note the messagess on boot.
If one device has gone tit's up it will drag everything else down - trial and error.

Have had a dud notey take out everthing else and visa versa.

Hurray! Thanks for the help people, elimination worked, notey causing problem, took out and reset with switch 6, still getting mem reset daily though even with new battery, what next?
