no 16s in scrabble Fotherz, but i agree it is a bit iffy.
re. bad swears, you can kinda understand why they did it for wider outreach beyond the pub. but i think it likes CRAPSHOT, i'm a big fan of crapping out and other dice terminology. also MOTHERFUCKER has been done and allowed, no doubt the good people of the mitre in cambridge have been writing to their MP about this outrage.

nobody ever wins on those things.
Is Word UP forceable?
For example if Istenem totally killed the game with a few words like SQUIBBLYFABLIOCIOUSATROCIOUSNESS and HARPSOMONIOMOCHORQWZQQQD and left it dead, how much would it cost me, someone who gets pleased with a five letter word such as livid, devil, tepid, harps, snail, hoops or tuned to force out the jackpot?
Let's say I whacked a quick K over the back on Word up when dead, would it be easily jackpottable?
I often see people put a few K over the back of Rainbow Riches and Reel King and wish they'd do it with Word up. Just because it doesn't have leprechauns spinning around and dinging noises, I don't see why it is disregarded in this fashion.

Based on the oft-mentioned 30% payout rate on SWPs, it ought in theory to take £33 of losing credits (without any £1 wins being taken in the meantime) to go into a Word Up that had just paid out a JP to be ready to pay out another £10 JP. In practice I'd say it would take quite a bit more than that, although of course players' ability to exploit that 'readiness' varies considerably.
