On our first get-together to tour a few machines, I was able to answer the eternal question, namely "What's a grecian urn?" (answer - quite a bit, as the Jiggy Bank game was still common then).

in the spirit of dodgy punning: would this lead to a question about what the Grecian nose?

I was in a bar near Soho yesterday evening, where I very much enjoyed playing COQUETTISH.

Blinking fuck.

I can't even say the word, let alone spell it or pull it out on the soup.

Regardless of the fact that I struggle to get 1200+ on this, I wonder what the maximum word length is? I thought it used to refer to the Scrabble (C) dictionary, but that only has up to 9-letter words (I think!) :? :)

that is a beauty, very well done.

re. word length, there have been various limits depending on release. it was 15 for a while (max length across a scrabble board) but (i think) it is set to 29 now. i doubt whether anyone will ever get a 29. any 15 is outstanding, especially one which doesn't rely on prefixes/suffixes]http://www.cantab.net/users/nfm24/ewq/scores.html#WUGM3[/url]

Does 1830 still qualify for entry into the Hall of Fame? If so that is what I achieved - my first 1800+ score - in The Bright Water Inn, Southampton yesterday. Despite the £2 win itself being a mere fraction of my financial rewards from the pub, it was by far the most satisfying moment! :)
