The Big Deal - telling you what you already knew
The Big Deal - telling you what you already knew
This is basically Crazy Chair with a slightly enhanced board and a different name.
It replaces a dial in an arcade which was getting destroyed, left, right and centre.
Now a random punts it from the moment it is switched on.
I leave and do my rounds and come back about a 1.7er up.
Bonus, I find a Monopoly there for the taking. It goes for a long ramble across the countryside, taking in the views of roll in pennybags and 'old pennybags. Finally it autopips and makes me about £25 all said and told. Lol, was about £40 clear at one point, thse get so crabby that you can get behind before you know where you are. I should have blopped it in and gone for a bigger profit. Hindsight. Anyway, on it for best part of an hour, nearly £200 up and almost perfect timing, random leaves after several HOURS of playing BIG DEAL.
Enter JG stage left.
KUUURURRRRCHUNK. Nice and full. Yeah audit, but hell this is proper fullsville. £2 for a board on 50p. Nice post Mark about 'blow yer socks off' £1 games. What a shambles. Stick with 50p, all the lines and what good is it having pointless redness of everything? No repeats, little enhancement.
£2 in and it's there for DOND.
So....let's play DOND. £20 box in the thing.
Soooooo do we walk £18 up and go YIPPEEE!!! I'm over £200 up and it's mid afternoon, let's go somewhere else and make it £300 or even £400 up?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
I try one more board.
Which costs £3 and gives 'banker's message' cash or bust will be red mist.
Red mist? That's that cash combo red box thing isn't it? WOW! Nice one. However DOND is also open. Look how high up red mist is, it's like a £20ish feature.
So do we COB for the £20 and walk £35 up and go WOW! fantastic?
Nope. not quiiiiite. WE go it's a factory fresh DOND out the wrapping. Let's force it.
I know. I know. So [?] GAME OVER....this is 'orrible.
£50 later and BARP, that was obviously some phone reflex shit as it's tightly blocking DOND, all COB is crap and £6 is the most I've been offerred since. So much for my potential red mist.
Chocka blocka blocka.
£100 OTB (On the buses or Over the back) and it's the same story.
£150 is on an advertised 86% hi-tech and it's THE SAME.
£160 to open up DOND again. Cheers.
£200 to see £40 on the stack.
£240 to see a 12 on spin to hold for red boxes on all grid for.....
"G0 ALL THE WAY"
Mega streak paid £95. Taking small wins, taking small wins. Still some life by the looks of it. £90 in bank and get DOND, play it for..
.....£70!
So £160 back.
Then it was £6 in, £6 out and then it did a silly £2 board that took me right into the POINTLESS middle bit. I take it BIG DEAL is some kind of top feature. Anyway red £2, f all else. Then it sucked £20ish back and phones obviously weren't cropping up until a cyclic moment of their choosing.
I had lost the will to live at this point and knew that having played £300ish through, I shouldn't be £100 down, especially from where I started, but YAWNSville. Christ. If anything I should be looking at getting back near to evens on 86%.
Well some random will get a phone game for cheap I expect. Or maybe I got %, as far as the game typically gives %
So there it was, my Pyne prophecised 1'er loss for 'playing it through'. Painful, as I could have been £35 up in seconds. Small mercy in that someone will travel over from Northampton or London and tut inwardly when they see what has replaced the third chip wiyb.
The one unique tip I can give you from all of this....is THIS
** HOT TIP **
On DOND -TBD, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, GAMBLE THE 'Message from the banker'. It is like gambling the gold symbols on a £2 board on Mazooma's Golden Grid. It is like trying to gamble to £3 on a dead Pie factroy. Capiche?
There's that other nugget as well, but can't say nothing can you? Not on here.

erm, hang on here?!?!? Must be a wind up, as I can't imagine anyone being SO stupid as to force any bfm machine on 35 or 70, it's a garenteed loss?!?!?!?
What a lovely situation you describe, I would have took phones on that second board and hoped for a good box.
If you actually did force it there, you deserved to lose more than you did, is all I have to say

I forced it as I'm sure I've read a Matt Vinyl post on here about the force on Big Deal costing between £10 and £24 to get the Mega Streak on the stack from being £2 happy.
Plus I was hoping for a sly £210 GATW thrown into the mix.
It was mega full on 86%, I'm going back tomorrow and will play it out until it GATWs naturally.

lol you mean the cycled one... I'd pure stab in the dark its a £8000+ cycle...
85% payout in the meanwhile then for £8000 -> about £6800 back... then your £140....
Hope it's worth it when you get it eh for a £1000+ loss :P
If you mean the forced GATW, that will only go £70 probably anyhow, maybe £80-90 if your lucky.
People I know in town actually employ similar tactics on the video road to riches, sit collecting stuff till it does the all the coins board..... they hardly ever get it and usually lose all their money in the process.... doesn't stop them going back for more every time... bloody addicts eh :P
Come on JG your better than this, although its probably a silly wind up knowing you anyhow :P

LOL, ya cheeky scamp!I forced it as I'm sure I've read a Matt Vinyl post on here about the force on Big Deal costing between £10 and £24 to get the Mega Streak on the stack from being £2 happy.

PS: Big Deal on the pointless centre lap is a pointless 'boost' to the pointless DOND values - nothing more exciting than that...
My only approach towards a £70 DOND was LPDOND - of which I 'did' have a good return - not going to put another coin in one, however...

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
Awful machine, I got suckered in with it red boxing constantly, once I got a £5 box that repeated it dangled that red box carrot infront of me for a few more spins and then that was it, £80 in for no red boxes at all and no phone game, £5 was the highest the cash stack went & Rise n Fall on the features.
£110 in and I finally got the phone game again which thankfully obliged with the £70 box. couple of recycled boards so I scarpered.
1 thing I did notice as I was on £1 play, the cash repeated every time, first few boards I collected £3 red & £4 red which both repeated.
Then after the £70 box I got a £5 which repeated, £4 twice that repeated and then a £2 that repeated. So nut sure if it's a guaranteed repeat at £1 spin but it never failed.
Still, last £1 it'll be having off me.

Depends what system they're on regarding suppliers. If it's replaced a non notey machine then it may well have been sited with only £125 in it, couple of notes and an early MS could quite easily empty it.
Usually how the float works is this.
1st delivery and £125 gets put in so it's full, then over the coming weeks the supplier rakes back a % of the float until all the float is actually the pubs.
Then the new notey comes in so the float has to be doubled, now here they either fill up and again rake back % or they just Float it to £125 and wait till the machine natuarally fills itself.
Now the hoppers hold £350 so another £100 has to be raised or even £225 if it's jumping from a non notey machine as I'd imagine all upgrades are noteys now to handle the £1 stake.

Wow didn't know that not really up on % and profits etc. just playing
Yeah the one before that was DOND Dream Factory with a Notey and the new £70JP DOND i think it's break the bank has a Notey aswell, it's been in there for about 3 weeks now and i just thought it strange that it was displaying a £3 IOU

Whatever happened to the good old days!!
It WAS a true story Ob. I forgot you can't collect DOND on [?]. I only play HOFs, wiyb, unchipped P5s (lol), £5 4 reelers in Showboat, so forgot about not being able to collect DOND on [?]. I was thinking, we'll see how far the board goes, then I'll take DOND, also I had Super Streak as well. Just blapped it thinking if I lose I'll take DOND next board and it kind of built on from there. It takes a good wedge before you realise DOND ain't coming back. So these can be cheeky as DOND was there and I collected nothing and it didn't come back. Imagine a wiyb properly there for the dial and you collect nothing and it vanishes.
Then £50 deep from Red Mist, I thought force, then of course I realised I'd been done. Several things, reasonable day, factory fresh, just for the craic etc, yeah bad play, even before hindsight. Should have bashed DOND pre [?], but hey, there you go. Could have been nearly £90 up if the big box had dropped. Still now you know. These can be forced
There was one little lie in my posting, that I was going back to chase the GATW! Errrr, I'm not suicidal.
Oh in case you're wondering, S and SS are exactly as good as their £35 counterparts, so don't double it. AFAIK they can't be ripped(!) so streak will be about £8, SS about £16, think dial that's ahead. Possible small breakage on Sstreak.

Right, okay this makes more sense!!! I've obviously played alot more DOND rubbish than you over my days (god knows whether I'm up or down on em in all honesty), but thought it was obvious to everyone you couldn't take phones on a ?.JG wrote:It WAS a true story Ob. I understand your predicament of it offering red mist then not coming back for £50+ thinking somethings due, but it doesn't work like that on bellfruits. It's sort of like, it sometimes does a blag happy board... if you don't take the game/value, its gone forever!
Let me let all you fruitchatters into the way to play £70 (and £35's although they aren't as good (disclaimer: good here is in no way implying long term profitability) bfms:
Play em a board, and if they arent phoning that's it and you're off. If a £3 or less win is offered on that board its COB, and I leave whatever it is. If the board offers £4+ I take that win and leave. If its phones, hope for something good, if its not a good box, play on to see if the phones come back the next board - if not thats get off time. If they do come back and its shit box again, keep playing till phones don't come back.
Not rocket science these bfm's really but it amazes me how people still don't get em!
