barcrest... hero to zero
Just had the chance of that situation
After £20 in on a £70 hi lo it gives red BB
So it gives £70 no repeat
Next board big bucks blue
Took it for £10 so £60 up
Pretty red too
But a combination of closing time within 20 mins and not having rechased or heard of good results doing so on a £70 I took it and ran
Like trayhop said somewhere maybe reds on a £70 no longer means 2 JP's

Like i said, £70 isn't really flat on these!! It's just the same machine but with a £70 guaranteed top isn't it....just like getting £70 off a £35er really, they are still just as likely to go dead after. Had smash the cash do a 'flat' £70 saturday night and lifeless after. Of course if you get loads in and it just goes £70, then as per £35s it may still be there..... though until someone gets put in that position then we can't really say.

If you've got reds then they are pretty much as they were.
I've had a £70 DOND dabble like some of the others on here, and they are disgusting really. DOND games are so tight with the high boxes (as you'd expect), at £1 a go you don't seem to get much extra incentive lolly, and they have the same stupid blocks as £35ers.

Looks like the industry has been given enough "rope" to hang itself, and is duly obliging.
It's simple poor product, overly expensive, no repeat business.
Will be nice to have the free time.

Me too - I've had a look round several towns after work yesterday and today and still not seen a £70 machine.Matt Vinyl wrote:Thankfully, work commitments have kept me off the playing circuit since these £70ers have come about. With Reds, it sounds from reports as though you're simply playing in an attempt to pot it before you've spent £70. Failing that, it's damage limitation.
I'm actually hoping to find a £70 Poker Face just to see whether Games Media can do something other than a flat top feature - as it sure as hell sounds as though Crests and Reds aren't gonna be much fun to play.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

I hit a 70Jp on an indie off 30 quid in....5 quid later and next board hit SS so thought fuck it. Another 50 back in and it went for 110, so made a fair bit on it.
Incidently when i changed up at the bar they said that the fruit machines had been so busy in the past 2 days (since the 70jp machines had been sited - and there was 3 in total). The other 2 machines were both DOND but had BOTH dropped 140 ... !!!!
Incidently, have i missed something on HI/LO ? And Pms would be greatly appreciated as i still have a couple of them tucked away in good spots... Any tips greatly appreciated.

One last pound
Played a pokerface the other day, £110 for £70... was annoyed it didn't carry on just to see if it did silly tops or had to do £140/210 - come on someone else must have played em...Nixxy wrote:Me too - I've had a look round several towns after work yesterday and today and still not seen a £70 machine.Matt Vinyl wrote:Thankfully, work commitments have kept me off the playing circuit since these £70ers have come about.
