IOU's

Post by Johnny Boy »

Just thought, that the majority of pubs, etc, are a bit sceptical in paying out IOU's on £35 Jps, when say for example the value is £25. NOW can you imagine you get a £70 machine Roll, and it IOU's for around a tonne .... ? I really cant see them being any more likely to pay out !

Bit of a negative slant, but can see it happening.

Does anyone know what the bank limit's going to be on £70'ers? Surely it would have to be more than 75.
Jackpot repeat would cause it to autopay 80 out at once!!

I've never really had an issue with IOU's thankfully, i've had to keep on at a few to get the cash but they've all paid up eventually, i have been bumped for £40 from a Paragon that i've never recieved, this was from legit play before the various empties, it was a GamesTec and i've more than got my money back from these clowns

Yeah mate, they owe us £85 odd between us. Any pay up? No fucking chance. Really pisses me off they're oh so happy to take your money off you, yet you win fairly and they don't want to know.

I must admit i have had a few struggles with IOU's
But i have had them all back

I once got a £75 top on LAB and it iou'ed for £71
This was Crown Leisure

They sent me a letter saying when it had been checked there were no proof of it

I spent some time writing a letter back stating it was genuine etc and i would be seeking advice and would take it further
A few days later got an apologetic letter with a £71 cheque

Stick at it
Yates's have been the worst ones
Once waited 7 week for £64 from a Sub Zero iou
A few others too always at least 2-3 week from them

Best imo Spoons
11am had a £91 iou from a Cobra Cabana
3pm phone call money is waiting

My last one was from a chain pub on a Jackpotty for £41
Took 4 days to get it back

I have a proud record regarding IOU's, particularly in services where they are notoriously bad at paying up. Just threaten them with legal proceedings and they will pay.

Always worth switching it on and off to see if it pays it. I've told a few staff/landlords about it and they've been quite grateful about not having to leave it switched off.

Very good advice, soda has a hilo that struggles to pay then banks itself for no reason. Vital piece of info, saves you drawing attention and having to go back.
