Rainbow riches / A new hope

Post by Alpine021 »

Ok used to play these for a quick win as there are 3 between my local pubs.

Then I got told the number runner "thing" whatever u want to call it (surely this isn't sensitive as I think it's shite) any1 else play for this? Any success?

But over the last week or so they have all been completely hammered. i.e. I put like £40 in 1 today for like 3 boards. Then I went back after the football and it was more out and even more fucked.

So anything else on these? pm if so? cheers.

It is pretty shite - not as good as on older machines that have a similar feature.

One thing I like about the Rainbow Riches game - it numbers the features (even though they're not in any sort of order) so you can tell whether they are worth taking or not. I always go for 14 or 16 of course... ;) Never taken number 15, I assume that's JP capable as well? The other machines 'may' have the numbers too, but I can't recall...

OK I've edited the post to "thing". But like I said I don't really rate it anyway. Can't explain why as it will give it away but would like any1 who is doing this to pm as I'm sure there is some little thing that I'm not doing.

But I think there is something else anyway. Yesterday I couldn't get a feature board for at least £30 and it even killed me from an 11 to a 12 on £1 when the exchange point was at £1.50

Literally fucked. Any when I did get on the board it went practically straight to spin out.

And no - not Derby...

I've had several sessions where it keeps going straight to spin out, still made on it though, and to be honest I prefer it do that than stitch you up with safe cash.
I've been playing these since Xmas and done alright on them, not mega money but considering I've now got like 7 new hopes and 3 RR's then it's hard to ignore them.
I've tried a few things, Reforces don't cost the earth but don't get you anywhere, I've only had 1 run for me the rest are force and hope for the best from the streak.
I don't understand why RR's wild thing has been changed though?? simple £35 but not easy to hit the final 1.

If they don't repeat the first time you can play them back round and they usually repeat ( if it costs more than jp the first time)

What run did you get Gambo?

I had a £70 the other day and put £10 back to see that it was on its bottom.

These seem to go in moods where it'll spin out really quickly, even when £12 happy, or you'll get higher cashpots but no chance of hi/lo or deathstar. They're not independent pots. Just a bit of random variation.

1st board was £10 cashpot ready, then cost around £40 to go in for the wild feature for a flat £35, next board came within £2 and I had £10odd cashpot on offer and upto £8 on the cash stack. Lost that board but next board came about £2 later and again high cashpot but eventually died, then got Nudge blaster with JP on that gave £6 in repeats, then got another board within a couple of quid which I took £10 with £5 in repeats.

don't agree with this, the ones that repeat, are in general those that arent played for the top alot...

I have played them back a few times, and I'd say its a poor idea in general. Those that have played them alot would know the obvious sign they are ready and it is not relevant to cashpots etc, lets not go through it on here eh...

There's a reason boards on these can cost a bomb sometimes.

Never realised this Matt so had a look on friday, Number 15 is Crack the code which doesn't fill me with confidence for JP (sounds like Jailbirds's Over the wall type feature)
Incedentally RR gave me the skill feature from just over £10 in and RR streak did £70 :P My best effort yet.

Nice one!

Yeah, I only noticed it recently, but perhaps someone has listened to us - we've complained countless times about 'not being able to tell' what a feature like 'In It To Win It' or 'Hyperdrive' or 'Bus Fare Home' etc. etc. actually do / are actually worth. Only a little thing of course, but it helps if you only casually play said machine and are maybe only a few quid in. ;)

Yes - that was the best implementation of 'hints'. I suppose the only minor snag then, is you do run the risk of 'those that you don't want to' finding out 'good features' easily - so it sort of goes both ways. Pretty hard to balance.
