american kids programmes.
sounds very familiar.
when I get home from work it's telly off until we've all eaten.
find out about school, work, etc

after food and cleaning them up, if it's an eastenders night I get a gym session in or teach a class.
if I'm on a rest day I get a game of poker in.
there's always something else you can do for half an hour.
Soaps are not even a last resort.

Unfortunately though Pete some of us have to relinquish the remote control from 5.30pm til approx 10pm depending what shite modelling show/reality shite is on after the soaps AND have the PC in the living room. Therefore I have to 'observe' soaps as a punishment from a previous life whilst playing poker and yes, they are god damn awful, unrealistic and depressing. If you want escapism play videogames, watch a movie, read a book or daydream about being a lottery winner.

I could take the laptop upstairs but the I'd be called rude and ignorant, like most blokes I like a quiet, easy life at home so I prefer to suffer the lesser of the two evils.

How whipped is that?

once EE is out the way I take the remote back, as soon as I'm back from the gym or from kicking prison officers and policemens asses for a couple of hours.

you should put her soap on and take the remote out of the room.
tell her you'll be back in 30 minutes and will be watching the arm wrestling channel, whether she likes it or not!

my bedroom setup consists of 2 tellys practically next to each other , ,,,,,, the 42 '' has the virgin box permanently in ,,,,,,, whilst my ps3 is 90% of the time piped into the 20''

so she can watch what she likes , while i play games , internet etc ,,,,,,, sorted , no arguments .

just a case of a quick switch of the hdmi lead , if we fancy a blu ray on the larger set.

watching minder (old version ) as i type this right now.

might seem a bit abnormal to have two sets in ya bedroom ,,,,,,,,,,, but it works
Little discipline = BIG issue

Exactly why I get annoyed with the whole topic... :(

PS: I thought it was a vid I'd seen before, so commented before re-watching it but it wasn't what I thought it was. Not 'overly' funny, just what you expect. Anyone seen 'Reginald D Hunter' on QI or HIGNFY? He's always ready for a pop at us white guys...

I think you're missing the point of the joke.

It's funny because historically white people have been allowed to express views like that. It's because it's a black guy singing it to a white audience that it's funny. If it were in reverse it wouldn't work.
