Hi what is the best way to change the start button bulb as Ive notice that there is a metal plate covering over the button then u have the coin mech in front plus what is the name of the part that sits under the mech that diverts the money

Not had much to do with Astra's (only my car haha). I'm sure when I done one I removed the metal plate that you are talking about, sure it's just a case of whip two screws out and you're into it???

Do you know Brian I was about ready to agree with you and say that I have no idea where I got "sorter" from and that I must have been having a "blond moment"... then today while I was stripping an MPU5 cab I read the instructions on the mech bracket - which referred to the "sorter".

Nah not really - they are universally known as separators as you say - I was just having one of those moments! :o ops:

Best way to do this is undo the 4 or 5 screws holding the belly glass frame on and then once off you have gained access to behind the mech. Alternatively if careful pop off the lens cap with a flat head screwdriver and use long nose plier to pull out and replace bulb. Have done that a few times with sucess! lol
