I say we go the answers one by one in order. I'll start off, surely the first one is poltergeist?

I realise it's not what you intended Foxy but this way might be a nice alternative.

3. is NEW (as in 'NEW PENCE')

P.S. You Glasgow-based quizzers might be interested in this:

It's being filmed in your neck of the woods apparently and applications are still being accepted. It would be nice for a Fruitchatter to win this one!

Errm, I think you've skipped a few there to answer the 6th question on Round Two. To go back to where we were and move things on a bit, I have looked up the answer to

6.the global language monitor has predicted that there wil be ow many english words in existence by 29th april 2009?

as that was quite possibly the hardest pub quiz question ever  . The answer is apparently one million. Which leaves the next open question as:

Sport

1.which asian team withdrew from the 1950 world cup bcs fifa wouldn't let them play bare-footed?

I'll have a guess at Korea.

I thought the whole quiz was as hard a pub quiz as I've seen, pretty much. That said, I guessed the Global Language Monitor one correctly when I submitted my answers to Foxy by PM - I think it's guessable on the basis that it's going to be something memorable and 100,000 seems too few.

Poor show - especially as a million was so guessable!

I wondered how long Masal Bugduv would take to get into a quiz - not long!
