if the option switch's are telling the program to expect a note acceptor, it could alarm if no note acceptor is fitted,

Check what option switches are on and turn each one of one by one to see if it cures the problem (be sure to note then down 1st)

I looked in the manual for the dil switch setting for a note acceptor, but unfortunately the manual is for the pre-Elegance Epoch cab!

Can't recall the switch offhand either. :(

That's all it is. There is a dil switch set to 'tell the machine' that there is a note acceptor fitted. Get hold of a manual and flick the switch, job done...

for some reason dil switch 4 or 7 ring a bell.

just look to see if 4 or 7 is set to the on position and if so just slide it back as most dil switches will be set to off.

If it's any help...

I know later Global epoch machines used switch 10 for most note acceptors and 11 for JCM acceptors
and switch 5 to stop it locking out when hopper < £125

Cant offer any real solution but just looked in an old notebook with dil settings and i'd go for switch 9 or 10. This is an old book that I have written in years ago and tbh, can't even remember what machine it refers to, only that it is a global.

Try moving switch 9 or 10 to the opposite position, should be off, i guess.
