maybe nothing in it but is it right that if you put 50p in and play it off and let the machine reset ,then put another 50p in, if it starts on blue award its p1 but if it starts on red its p2... that make sense? ive had a few.

The £5 counterparts are just as bad....jesus....how much do you have to put over the back to get more than 2 nudges? I didn't find out, but it's more than £25, I'll tell you that much. I know that's ludicrous as obviously it depends what state the machine....no....no actually my original statement is right. It's more than £25, bet you any money.

Agreed, we don't have many of these around here any more, but did see a few in another city a few weeks ago and did see some on a services run. I wasted a bit of time and money on them (chip 2 variants) in both instances. So it was at that point I did the same as you Matt and concluded they weren't worth it. If I saw £50 flung over the back of a chip 2, with little collected, I might go in. Other than that, no good. The trouble is, this is a real 'slap bang in the cluey psyche' rip now. No advantage. You're competing with 'orrible %s and less said about the last chip, the better.

P2s are OK. Had one in a great location that was usually good money.

It all depends who plays them. I had two in an arcade at one point which were considered 'my' hits by local players, so they sometimes good, whilst the ones in pubs in town where fooked. I guess 70% (pub)vs 88% (arcade) helps a bit there as well. In fact I bashed one for £35+£30+£35 just before it went, so nice leaving present. Yes Fletch, they're workable, but they're played out so often in services, town centres I guess you really do need a soft location to make them viable.

ok i admit they can be hard work and can suck you in , and that cob is now a no no , as it can give you less than you already have ,,,,,,,,,,,

but in the right location , full and off its tits , there is still money to be made.

ok i know this is the extreme but i went in oneils the other day , got the set up off a fiver , got ms and it went for an extra 20 ,,,,,,, 50profit ..

full and buzzing they can be worth a force ,,,,,,,

I've still got 2 that I play now & then. months ago they'd set-up 1st bonus eveytime, now they're hit n miss a bit but I still play em. Rarely goes over £10 to get the bonus and if it's blocking, take whatever and walk.

Found one today with Eddie, whilst on a checking mission so decided to give it a dig, wasn't gonna take it on if it was a P2, anyhows £2 in and gives cannons which resulted in a 7nudge hi-lo climb, set the gold7's with a 1, which left me with a dilemma of a 2 on £30.....
I bet theres a few on here that would've highered the 2 for the extra fiver, fuck that, my hand was straight on the collect button!
