I'm never drinking again.
...Until next time... ;)

How many times have I said that famous phrase...

:)
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

some ind:es and some gamesnets still haven't fixed the bug of bonus tiles whizzing around. this game is one of the most obvious if it is ready to pay (£1 at 100 generous point value phrases) vs 25 point 3-letter words £1 at 500. even with the quick bonuses i'd fancy a few quid out of it.

Agreed - I like the fact that you can tell whether it's worth playing each game or not, which has been one of my main criteria for a good machine/game from day one. I would play if you can quickly see the first prize i.e. if it's around 100-300 points, with 100 points for the first £1 being the best setting available. If all the words are 25 points and the first £1 is around 500 points, you are looking at a long, lonely slog.

Most of the machines I see still have the bug with the superfast bonuses. You are normally OK for the first two or three as all four options should be helpful but after that you run the risk of being given the Hangman and so I would then avoid them from that point on.

Was much easier to find the machines that hadn't been updated and empty Noel's box. Becoming very hard to find machines that haven't been updated now though.

What exactly is the point in offering a deal, when you dont have enough to make the prize board? what happens if you deal?

If you accept the Deal amount, then you bank those points and the round starts again with 20 boxes.... You can keep doing this until you have enough points.... Not obvious when you first play it, as i thought i had to play on till it offered me anough points from the first round!!

Got my first deal jackpot yesterday!!!
It was an absolute struggle to get through to the money round and then first offer was £4.Next offer was £5 but still had the £10 and £20 left.
Got to last 2 with a deal of £12.50 and fortunately turned this down.
It can be done people!
Incidentally had my easiest fiver ever(well, recently :D )off deal last week.
10000 points to go through(worst I've seen is 98000)and the total sum of no questions asked for first deal of 12000.Straight onto money game having done precisely nothing.
If the money part was rigged I would imagine I would have been more likely to get a decent win in this mode rather than when I just scraped into the money round.
I'm really beginning to enjoy this game, obviously.

Well done, foxy! - it's always good to hear of someone cracking the Jackpot on a 'new' machine.

Your story of the easiest fiver ever reminded me of an old thread on here - I mentioned that it was theoretically possible to win the Jackpot on old-style Cluedo without answering a single question, by choosing a room offered on the first go and guessing the Murderer and Weapon correctly (or maybe not needing to guess if I've understood your other posts correctly :wink :) . You would then obviously have needed the luck of having the machine in such a good mood that the first room was the correct one as well but I always wondered if that ever happened in the millions of different games played. It must have done surely if the choice of room was made before the game started, as opposed to being selected on the fly by the machine as you played the game.

played this in north london on friday i had three games struggling and one where i cruised through. it is okay as a game even if i only got offered £3.50.

it strikes me that the SWP is 1000x better than the tv show. SWP takes maybe 3 minutes to do two rounds whereas the tv show takes 50 minutes to do (pretty much) half of the same thing. if you watch that drivel you are wasting your life. (Sorry Bob). immediately after winning £3.50 it demanded that i get 90000 or whatever and each pick was red and for QQQQ. so the first game is rigged but i have only seen the end game twice so no comment about that.

i would not be at all surprised if this becomes one of very few games to graduate from gamesnet to other cabinets.

I too played this at the weekend. I stuck half a king's ransom through it, steadfastly refusing to take any paltry wins.

First couple of goes it was wanting approx 20,000 points for the end game. Ho ho, thought I, easy pickings.

Of course, I fluffed both the games, and the prize game then nestled itself around the 50-60,000 mark.

Eventually I got to the end game, where I managed the dubious accolade of eliminating every single red amount before gradually eliminating the £1 and £1.50. I was left with the 10p and 20p, and turned down its very generous offer of 12p, to be left with 10p.

The writing was on the wall at this stage, but I was determined not to be outdone. Next game a washout (69,000 points needed - must have been that huge 10p payout), then a few quid later, in the end game. Highest offer was £2.50. Ended up with ... 10p

I got 3 more games in the end game. The first 2 yielded a further 10p each time. On a later game, with the points at a laughable 15,000, I managed to get to the end game with only answering 1 question. Yet again, I skillfully removed all the higher prizes first, before finally plumping for the box with 20p.

By this stage, I was about £15 down, but on the bright side, I had won enough money for another go. Which I did, got to the end game, got offered £3.50 (the highest amount from the whole session). Took my money out, and ran out the pub as quickly as my legs would carry me, before I had to listen to any more of Noel's rilesome comments.

Seems like his eminence is having an unduly hard time with this :(
Played the £1 a go one yesterday and ended up with £5 and £40.This was my moment of glory in the making but I ended up totally bottling it and accepted the £14 on offer

I've never seen the £40 jackpot version (that's probably a good thing).

Where did you find it? Is it stand-alone? I've never seen £1 games on a gamesnet machine (not that I look beyond the half dozen or so games that I usually play).
