Have I missed a trick here? They have a video AWP out that you could be forgiven for mistaking for a Player as they look somewhat similar.
Anyway, I decided to have a dabble on Big Banker £70, looked an interesting machine but I can't really comment further as I put 30 quid through it and got...
Fuck all.
I span 30 quid of credits for no board, not even a trail held or a fucking HOLD offered on the reels - this is a hi-tech by the way, not some £500 or Bar-x 7 type job. At least they might have done something!!
If they want video hi-techs to take off they'll have to do quite a bit better than this - fucking rank - before I even consider chucking a quid in the direction of one ever again.
Blueprint Gaming
Yes, this is Goldstar. On £70jp you get.
1) Gold Streak - staple diet of the bookies 'pub' AWP on FOBT games. It's Electrocoin ala Blaupunt (don't they actually make cheap car radios?) ala the Gausselmahn Group ala Bell Fruit or whatever. You know the script, it's Road to Riches with YEEHAA sfx.
2) Casino Crazy - forget Mr. Boombastic and grey Vogues, this is a pure GS clone, except instead of mining trucks, it has casinos. Horseshoes for pickaxes, jumpers for goalposts.
3) Target Practice. Blaupunt. Feels slightly Games Media. No £105 tops though. Triple stake/triple jackpot. So 25p play = only £25 jackpot.
4) Big Banker = Yes, I can see where you're coming from. I didn't have such apalling luck, but there's no feel of progression, or any beacons of hope. There's no incentive to force. Maybe there's a £210 waiting there as a prize for the adventurous soul, but bitter experience suggests not. It looks slightly H 'n M (the bandit, not the clothing store) but every gamble feels like a horrible risk. Even 1s and 12s, as the Hi lo for cash and features are so close together that you worry the alignment may be wonky. Which it usually is as these seem to have a tendency to misalign themselves. So left hold is middle hold, so on so forth.
5) Bar X random roulette thing. £1/play £70 jackpot. Similar to an idea H2 came up with a while ago. States 100% random. 2 reels, 20 positions on each. 11xs 2 Bars and 7 Os. XX=£4. BB=£35. You can then gamble *2 or *4 or *5 or just collect. You gamble on a reels with 10 *2, 5*4 or 4*5 symbols, again twenty positions or you just collect your prize and you can gamble this on roulette or just collect.
If this is totally random either the reels don't represent the pay tables used, or they're quite happy to give £4 for something that happens every 11/20 * 11/20 times, not to mention bonus bars from time to time. So it's an emptier for all, or the reels don't represent what is really going on, or it's not 100% random.
6) Let's Play Darts. Standard hi-tech fayre. I think they perhaps had Road to Riches in mind with a dash of HLS thrown in. The exchanges start higher up and it feels like a more 'roguish' profile than the first two games. You'll get £20 of crap £2/£3 boards and then one board that goes really high. Quick tip. White Darts Marathon will add all the singles up to 19 and then give Yes/No pseudo continues. Once you hit 20 (single), it'll start with double 1,2,3 etc Because of this 'suddenly give some good boards' then 'loads of crap boards' it's a bit more entertaining than GS, but I can't see great value, although this is the only one I haven't collected all the features on. It's also more entertaining as you'll often get three features close together and then £12 for the next board.
As for GS/CC you have triple stakes £70 jackpot. £1 feels pointless unless you are forcing and want to get jackpot with speed. Why pay £12 for a £3 dead board when you can pay £3 on 25p? That said, I've had a £22 board cost on 25p play on that CC game for a dead £2 board. Usually boards within £7 though on 25p/50p stakes.
Many would suggest that these games are a waste of time compared to some other games out there.
The games are pretty gash. On GS and CC you have a 'GUAC' style feature on the gold truck/casino. If you see £5 on the board and it's on 86%, chances are you'll probably get it for a £69 cost for a £1 profit.
If it's on 78% and in a BetFred with a dodgy processor that makes hitting SSS impossible, then you'll pay £140 for all pickaxes and a £90 roll with disappointing afters.
Number runner is there, but forget holding reels on super as there are no hold buttons on the shell and none on the screen. Respins are 'orrible as it doesn't register multiple simultaneous presses.
Give us a Clue or whatever it's called is a fair shot to £GS if the processor isn't skipping about like a pause chip stopper in an electrical storm.
If you can hit GUAC naturally then this shouldn't be a problem even though on red it increases speed just like a normal Guac. I've hit a few now, although often missing by one due to unresponsive blobby Horizon cab buttons and jerky graphics. Good for £2 profit now and again. Red Fast Cash is capped at board value, so no cheeky £70 rips off that. There, save yourself some cash.
Best result £15 in for invincible for £70.
Worst result £140 in for £100 clawed back.

I doubt it, I've hit about a dozen of these now and I usually get the centre with the odd miss for an advance of one. Always red (super), maybe it's the yellow which you need to hit exactly?
That's not to say it doesn't do it, just seems a bit strange I've not seen it give nothing yet on a £70er on that feature.

Had it on the £35 gold streak/casino crazy's on the red GUAC feature, if you go over the top it just goes "bonus/spin" and gives you nothing.JG wrote:I doubt it, I've hit about a dozen of these now and I usually get the centre with the odd miss for an advance of one.
