Reflex Gaming - Manic Money Monster

Post by Matt Vinyl »

Morning all. Came across this one at my 'test site venue' yesterday. It's laid out like a Poker Face, in that it has the 1-7 trail, followed by the grid of cash values from 50p up to the £35 followed by the MMM feature. Turbo gamble to get on the board, etc. The feature board is also laid out pretty much the same, in that there are three tiers - outer, inner and central (a bit like the London Weighting Allowance, heh!) with super shots on the inner tier and cash shots in the centre (I never got to the centre, so am unsure if it's like PF where it just lands on values until you are arrowed out).

The super shots are different in that there is a 'bank' of them on the left hand side - I don't think the top feature is available from them though. Collect 5 'wads' of notes to activate the top Mega Streak - again, not sure if this is the equivalent of Big Money, or if it is a 'proper top'.

The shot banks are also different, in that there's only 'one type of shot' but you can progress up through levels on the right side of the machine. I think there were 4 levels, hitting a feature and rejecting it turns it red. Hit it again and reject it to knock it out completely. Land on an arrow to move up a level.

Like Money Spider, where you exchanged over to the main feature, it stays at that cash position on the trail. Nudging in wins and numbers boosts you up this trail. On 50p play, numbers are doubled. I had a result via this as it gave me bonus nudges which enabled me to nudge in pot, followed by another number (a 4) which gave me the top feature for £50. One complaint though, the top is SO SLOW! I'd say it really did take a full 5 minutes plus to give me the £35! Hoards of 50p wins that then took yonks to be added to the bank. Not that I'm complaining as a top is a top, but come on! I got through 3/4 of a pint before it had got to the end. :)

There's also a Death or Glory button, which is a bit COB-ish, although when you take it, you get a Yes/No continue type thing, but it's Death/Glory. I took this on my next board (landed on a question mark after a few spins, nothing else to collect) and it said 'Press Me' and lit the cancel button. This enabled me to easily select 'Glory' which gave me a shot at the top values (within the Mega Streak pot) which gave me £15 and a chance at another shot - that one missed. So, made about £50 overall, which wasn't bad at all for a new machine.

Knowing the one other Reflex I've played (JJ) I guess that if caught at the right time, this could go huge?!

popped into spoons this am and saw this. i rarely play now and have not seen this before. About £20 in and progressing slowly allowing me to take shots in the 3rd section on the right side. I weas death/glory ing every board until finally allows glory which, as above post states, is shots at the mega values at the top. I had 3 shots which totalled £25 before kicked off.

Next bonus gave sss for top, about 3-4 mins of 50 p and £1 wins finally gave £35. Next bonus, same again. Next board the red cash boostred up to the top which mega streak for £50.

A nice result from what is prob an average at best machine.

I've had one bit of spawn over the past two months. One bit. One bit of spawn.

I did a MV and got a double flash on a Double DOND. £35, then next credit melons £45. Only played as seemed ready for last puntling.
I don't go in for these. Honest. No seriously, stop looking at me like that, there will be no silly method guesses. Second time I had played this machine. I have a dozen lcoations for these, popping up all over.

to be honest, that wasnt the entirety of my spawn this am. in spoons no. 1 i put £20 in family guy and got GATW then for flat then dead, made a 10er. then Double DOND £20 in box on first board, roughly £14 up and in the other spoons where i played MMM i also put a 10er in DOND reds as it was phoning and got the 35 for about 15 up. Then, as I was leaving, the Lloyds no.1 bar over the street was opening so I wandered over and played 2 other DONDs(perfect choice??? and a football based one and did ok on those!!!.

Overall, not exactly skillful play but profit is profit!!
