okay so I'm mucking about online tonight and I see a £75 bonus on paddy power... yet you have to stake £1875 on the casino games, no mention of which games etc. are eligable so I plough on with craps on there, which for you non-informed is a 99.66% game playing the correct way - my thinking being that the £75 is pushing the odds easily in my favour...
Anyhow, it turns out when I reach the £1875 staked the bonus isnt credited, so I give them a call... well apparently had I gone to the players "club lounge" I'd have found out these bonus stake wins are only applicable on slots - oops... pity they didnt mention that anywhere....
Nonetheless £60 up on it as you can see, (unlike alot I want to actually prove what I say is true), so no harm done
PPS: yes I got pissed off the £75 wasnt credited hence going over the £1875 staked :P
Right the first bet you do is one of 2 choices, pass or don't pass:
Then you roll the dice (2 dice) and add the scores:
Pass wins on 11 and 7 for double your money, loses on 2, 3 and 12
Don't pass wins on 2 and 3 for double your money, if it comes up 12 it's money back.
If it comes up 4 5 6 8 9 or 10, the money stays on either the pass or don't pass line (you cant take it back now), and they put a little marker on that number, and this number is now called the "point" ( ie. if you rolled 3 and 3 they put the marker on 6 ).
If you bet on pass you need this "point" number to be rolled BEFORE 7 to win the pass bet
If you bet on don't pass you want 7 to be rolled BEFORE the "point" number.
Once either the number or the point is rolled then everyone is payed and the game starts at the beginning.
Statistically 7 is the most likely combination to roll, followed by 6/8, then 5/9 etc., ie. the further from 7 the combination, the less likely.
Anyhow the good part of the game is that when a point number is established you can place a further bet which goes on top of your either pass or don't pass bet.
For example if you bet on the pass line your further bet can be 3 times (different casinos have different limits for this) what you staked originally on the pass line - this bet wins then if the point comes before the 7. However the odds you get on this bet represent the true fair odds with no house edge, i.e. if the point is 4, you are twice as likely to roll 7 as 4 (ie. 4: 1,3 3,1 2,2 = 3 ways.... 7: 1,6 2,5 3,4 4,3 5,2 6,1 = 6 ways) .... so the extra bet gets 2/1 odds. Alternatively the extra bet on the don't pass line gets true odds, ie. you get 1/2 that 7 comes before 4, if the point is 4.
There are loads of shitty bets on the table that I won't go into, leave this alone. All you want to do is put money on either the pass/don't pass ( I prefer don't pass, although if you did this in a casino people would hate you, as the shooter ie. dice roller, always goes for pass ) then put the maximum you can on the extra true odds bet.
The pass/don't pass bet is 98.6%, and the odds bet is 100%, considering you are putting the majority of your money on the odds bet, the percentage you get is 99.66%. A particular casino in vegas allows you to do 100 times your pass bet on the odds, which makes the game like 99.999991% or something lol, so worth a try if you ever go there, its the casino royale.
