Money spider, what would u have done ?

Post by lecrab »

Not played it in the first place is probably the response u are all about to write, but times are desperate in my town. Anyway got on said machine today, it was full from the off and not refilled till tmrw morning, good signs early doors, (£4rpt red, super streak red etc etc) anyway after £50 in got red money spider that went to £70, which i was pretty happy with. Anyway had a few credits left and its always worth another couple of boards, next board was getting super shots galore and was offered 5 red strikes and then mega streak, so was sure that another top was there for the taking, so was suprised at being kicked off with a roll even to continue. At this point what would u have done, me being me thought theres gotta be another moneyspider in it, so went for it again, which cost a depressing £80, got moneyspider red, FLAT, (to quote lock stock "wanker, wanker gimme back my money). Tried a few more boards but was not playing dice and the best i was getting were 2 strikes so left it taking a 35 loss, when potentially couldve been 35 up had i took the mega streak after the first monyspider. On the bright side at least its a fun machine to play, oh no its a pile of wank.

I don't play these but have watched a friend pushing one the odd time, i can see why you would think it is still going, but i think if i was £20 in front and a chance too take a mega streak i would have collected, maybe tried a couple of more boards and drained any remaining juice, its easy being wise after the event but thats what i would have done, i think everyone at sometime or other has pushed on thinking theres another one there on any machine before and its annoying when you take a hit (especially when you was in front at one point) one wrong decision and your in the sh1t, you then realise after say £40 back its having you over but your passed the point of no return.

Having played Money Spider quite a bit, I must admit I'd probably have pushed on too for the top feature ... and regretted it.

I should add that the red Mega Streak usually pays around £23.
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

When it does that even having just gone for 70 uv still gotta think its there, im not even sure in the same situation what id do next time, pretty much every time ive been offered mega streak in the past moneyspider was not far behind it. Having said that ill be a lot more cautious especially for the sake of £12, cos if it was there it wouldve only been £35, cos theres no way they'll do back to back 70's or bigger!

I probably would have done the same mate.

These aren't as good for the chase as other GM / Global clones but those sort of shots could quite easily indicate a run.

I did, however, once put £300+ in one to chase it out (again, keen from the off, full, etc)

They can be VERY unpredictable!

I would of taken the MS and then milked anything the machine had to offer after a 70 top, if it was 35 top then I would pushed on for the top again.

Have seen them offer Megastreak quite a bit after a 50ish top, never sure if to take them or push on, generally i take them at this point unless it is landing on the +5 cash square in the center.

On Gold rush I have seen a feature sequence of red top 40, MS 20, then White top for 45 in 3 consec boards so i guess the Money Spider could do the same if it chooses.

You need get BFK's number. Next time your in this situation just give him a call & just the sound of his voice will make the machine submit to a quick top for fear of him coming round and Rechasing the F**k out of it!! :D
