I'll overlook the illiterate nature of this post to say that I did the very same this lunch - the first time I've reached the endgame on the new DOND variant. It was a really pretty easy game - a target of about 35000 and for once it stayed well away from the "big reds": I got offers of 21,500 on round one and 18,500 on round two (the latter seeming generous as it had knocked out 100,000 during round two). On the endgame the first seven or eight selections were all blue numbers. Things went a bit downhill after that but with four boxes left I had something like £2.50, £4, £6 and £10 so was in a good position.

My working theory is that there's a lot more distinction between paying and non-paying modes on the new variant of DOND - if non-paying it makes it horribly obvious with strings of 250,000 knock-outs and so on, but if it's paying it's really pretty straightforward. In particular, and admittedly with a sample size of one, I wonder if the (thought to be) genuinely random (apart from never getting £20) nature of the old DOND endgame has been replaced by something not random at all.

I would hazard that if they have made the main game so obviously fixed when not happy, that the end game would be similarly 'rigged'. Having said that though - the increased difficulty that must be surpassed to reach the endgame may be enough protection?

Sounds like a combination of enough of us lot and normal punters who thought it was the old game have had a coupe of unsuccessful goes adding up to it now wanting to pay out.
Either way I suspect it's glory days are gone.
I trust other games more now.

I noticed the non-paying mode mentioned above when having a quick go last night. Offering some relatively achiveable targets in the 28000 - 35000 ranges but knocked out the 250000 box 2nd pick for 5 consecutive goes.

Eventually managed a £4 win but it was just so blatent that it didn't want to give big offers
