Hi everyone,
I have a problem with the above machine. When I switch it on, it does not boot correctly, none of the display lamps light and the text display does not light either, although the coin accept slot lamp flashes as if the voltage supply is unstable and the coin hopper revolves slowly, eventually emptying itself.
All the PSU LEDs light correctly however, and the MPU LEDs all light correctly, with LED1 flashing and LEDs 2,3,4 and 5 all lit correctly to show that the software is up and running. I can't help but think this is a PSU problem, but the LEDs tell me otherwise. The LED on the reel driver board does not light at all though.
Has anyone experienced this fault please?

Update everyone, I've changed the power supply in desperation, but to no avail.
The problem is still the same. I've unplugged the reel driver board, the lamp driver board, the cash hopper and acceptor board, and still no sign of life on the LED display.
Although the main board all looks ok (i've even changed the battery) is it possible that the fault lies here? There's not much else left!

Hi,
The power supply is a stadium RA8429, as I said I've now tried two and the problem remains the same.
The main board is an EPOCH board with six chip carriers fitted, two for sound and four for game ROMS.
The LEDs on the board state that the board is up and running correctly, but I'm not convinced. The main chip is an ACTEL number A42MK16.
