Fruit machine percentages
Is it me, or are many machines actually not playing to their percentage??
For example, I saw a Monop HP in a bowling alley next to a hilo paying @ 46% when the engineer checked the meters. I'm sure no rechip is needed here...
Furthermore, if you go on a Star Wars etc and it's offering a decent cashpot on the first board, but end up putting in £160 for £70, how can the machine be dead afterwards??
Or a Big Cheese, in days gone by. It's £4 or £5 shotting (hence ahead), and it costs £100 for £25, and no roll. How on god's green earth can this be £2 boarding afterwards??
Answers on a postcard please.

Bored of the grind.
Re: Fruit machine percentages
It was maybe just recently upgraded to £70 jackpot. This would reset the meters. Therefore maybe £200 had been put thru it and it had paid out £92 since it was upgraded.sir ratholer wrote:Is it me, or are many machines actually not playing to their percentage??

There never was a version of Big Cheese that didn't offer Golden Hold. They all offered it. Just unlucky on the feature sometimes. Maybe these didn't pay to percentage because they were being drained on the cash wins. No need to stick £100 in this for jackpot. Take all cash wins on the way unless its a good setup for Golden Hold.
Star Wars and Rainbow Riches is a mystery though. Put £40 in a Rainbow Riches the other day and it never offered above £2. Was about £30 off full with a notechanger. Just wanted a quick board, ended up leaving it. Something was wrong with it!
