I'd agree with PMK that DOND WOW is probably the only one (currently!) that you get a reasonable feeling as to where you stand with it and it seems to respond well to the force. Red cash / features when phones not open, for example. Had a quick £2 in one yesterday lunchtime and got DOND from the 'seal', which gave me a £15.xx deal with 50p and £35 left, which I took, buggering £35 was in the box - but I had to be quick as I was on a 'toilet trip'.

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
If it opens up the board with phones its ready to take on, if it offers phones and boosts red features and cash its ready to take on. Loves to do back to back MS/pots and unlike many of the newer versions loves to credit break also!
Cant really remember the last time I even took a middle game on one of these!!!
Dont see many of these around anymore tho, certainly one dond that was always worth a punt.

Yep, nice when it phones from the start of the board. Also nice when it stacks about 6/7 features / cash from landing on one square. Still 2 near me which I frequently push. I only take the DOND game if I'm not intending to get roped in (as was the case yesterday) but agree, it's pretty much not worth it once things are underway.
COB is also useful for the £20 or MS on the feature stack, had that numerous times after banking up a decent amount. Someone I know has a theory on COB on WOW, whereby the 'number of times it is taken' lets you 'know for sure' what you'll get. I'm not buying it fully, but there does seem to be a bit of a cycle:
1p / 1p / 1p / £15ish / 1p / 1p / 1p / £15ish / 1p / 1p / 1p / £15ish*
Of course, you're going to end up way down solely doing that and it certainly doesn't always work - I've had consecutive £15/£20 and a huge run of 1p / crap wins.
*1p = usually a box win or a really crap low feature that equals a pound or two. £15ish is 'usually' the cash stack (or the £20) or win stepper for £25ish.

There is a bit of a cycle, if its ready natural and you COB a ready board, the COB counts as board value and should still have another in it. Random COBs when dead hard to get but can happen, also if it's ready and you take a high phone game etc it should be there.
On most of these if you can max out stacks as high as possible and COB, if it lands it should b either lose, low box or a biggie....no mucky £3ers. Handy when it gives you £8 ready boards with no phones!

Couldn't agree more with that.Mattb wrote:Same as any new DOND. If the board offers 50/50, cash code, win stopper, turbo cash etc then its a dead board, take whatever and recycle or leave it. If it offers take a chance, dial up dosh etc the board has a bit of value and can be phones. These will do shit boards even when flying though so beware!
That 'Bonus Gamble' is a bastard though isn't it, lol
