you wouldn't get thrown outta where i work for setting up a gg or by playing anything just using knowledge.
i know this sort of thing happens all the time and have been on the receiving end myself .
936 in a megaslot though , i can see where the anger stems from,myself 280 in one to get a 44 top , lesson learnt.
used to do ok on them 5er in on 1pound play, first thing in the morning after someone got stuffed night before, no top then bye bye . times it paid off were numerous (enough to cancel out all the losing 5ers plus some).

The anger doesn't stem from that much into a Megaslot, that happened about a year ago and has been forgotten, you play that type of shit and you only have yourself to blame.

The anger stems from the fact that despite these kind of machines taking such money the staff/owners still see it fit to throw you out if you pop in and say maybe pinch a jackpot or two from the £25/£35'ers. Sometimes you do and sometimes you dont depending on shall we say readyness of machines on offer.

I am well presented person, kind and polite, very rarely go into an arcade these days with just coins, change up notes say my please and thank you's etc etc. Yes I know what I am doing and yes I will play certain machines better than your average punter but that doesn't make me a criminal and the sad fact is, that you are treated like one in I would say 80% of arcades that you go in.

Christ the manager of a Gala himself personally gave me change for £100 worth of notes to get a GGG going, as soon as I started getting a few boards he wanted to throw me out!! If every person in the country was prepared to invest £100+ into a GGG to chance there luck that fucking company would be 1000(at least) times better off.

Sorry, but its just starting to get to me a bit now.

PMK, I know exactly what you are saying... I walk in and look very presentable and seem to get hovered round like a piece of shit, so many times have I stared back at the old fat woman or man and said in anger what the fuck are you looking at just to get them away.

Normally get barred like but at least it makes them feel low for a second or two!

I hate most arcades now

the heat you guys are getting,has a lot to do with the fact so many wankers are going about tooling and note scamming these days that operators have to be vigilant,staff are trained to be suspicious to an almost paranoid degree, i would probably be the same if i had no experience from a playing perspective.
i fully appreciate that your treatment by naive agcs is wrong ,but there are fair play venues available that shouldn't be classified in the same way .

I've had enough of the c**ts, I'd never normally encourage tooler's, but fuck it, go in and destroy them. I have never EVER done anything illegal to a machine other than play them to the best of my ability, I now find myself banned from ALL showboats, Beacons, numerous Gala's and god knows how many independants for doing nothing wrong!! Makes me fucking sick.

Dunno how you get barred from galas... I used to destroy the rio grande 500JPs in there back when I figured out the clue on them.. from Torquay up to Swindon, I was going into every galas twice a week, sometimes getting double jackpot within 10 minutes. The only place that got funny with me was Salisbury when I changed up some coins. A quick phone call to my local club in Bournemouth, and having said how good a customer I was (!) she had to relent and let me continue playing.

Having done the 4 rios that were in Swindon galas one night, and made a clear £2000 profit on them, the manager afforded me a jovial "maybe you should start going to meccas now".

How on earth do you get barred from galas ? It seems nigh on impossible.[/code]

Back in those days my friend as Mr Lugsy said, there wasn't nearly as much tooling and scamming going on and you could play pretty much any machine without any heat, I use to travel up and down the country when the GGG's first came out and I doubt there is less than 10 galas I haven't been in. But nowadays, as I said in a previous post, even if you go in with no coins and go £100+ into a GGG you still get watched like a hawk and in probably 50% of Galas get kicked out due to the no. of boards you eventually start to get or of course I nice fat rpt pot.

Go in any arcade that you are not known in, and once again almost 50% of ones will kick you out eventually or ask you not to come back. Its depressing, I'd rather get body searched on entry scanned for devices and then get left alone to play as I wish!!!

Rio Grande's eh? Wasn't a certain jp free? Nudge in or something? I've got it on emulator would be interesting to mess about on it. Did they ever get chipped against your little trick?

with regards to getting barred for no reason,another major factor these days is those chaps at machine guard.
any old twat who who subscribes to them can post cctv pics to their board,backed up by vague tales of magnetics and the like.
i am 100% sure that many pics i have seen are just some poor old random who got lucky and now is on their 10 most wanted

however they do provide a valuable service to those you can distinguish lucky liam from devious dennis ,but you would expect some kind of safeguard to stop people being villified for no good reason.

now and again they also provide quick alerts to serious fraud/theft.
