said it a few times earlier all machines nowadays are complete rubbish. other than seaside resorts if i owned an arcade id put a load of oldskool reds vivids barcrests. things like tot, simpsons, red alert, devil of a deal etc it would certainly get the punters in.

Rubbish they just reglass old reds diggers aliens.etc even easier considering the new horizon plus cabs are made for that . The same applies for coins easy to reglass into a dond. Besides which just looking around you see MUCH less playables now than months ago and this trend will just continue. If you really see old coins and reds and diggers still around in 5 years you really are delusional!

Seems you have misunderstood my original post. I am not implying that you will still see the same machines in 3-5 years, I am merely predicting that there is at least 3-5 years left of making decent money. This is simply because whilst to most players there appears to be nothing new in the pipeline at the moment I believe something new worth playing will come out of the closet in the next few months.

My other point is that they can't reglass old machines without something to reglass them with! Sceptre and other suppliers don't currently seem to take too many DONDs from Bell Fruit as they like to keep some exclusivity with Gamestec. So until something new is released on mass (e.g. the new Take It or Leave It) then the existing games will remain in play.

Personally I don't play Electrocoins or REDs very often and since the P4 Alien was released they are a waste of time too. There is still plenty of money to be made though.

Maybe something will come out, Im not discounting it, but at the moment its hard to see what, its just clones of deals.

They regalss old machines with DONDS, sceptre have plenty of DOND's and yes I've seen their lists.... what games are you speaking off here that wont be reglassed... p4 aliens which are shit, diggers are rare as anything

Are you telling me these playables are around in anything like the numbers they were, I check well over 500 pubs in this area, and the numbers now are MUCH MUCH lower....

Ok so you dont play electrocoins or reds, so what are you playing exactly to be making this plenty of money, LG/aliens which are mostly p4, the VERY odd digger that will generally be very covered unless its super middle of nowhere, and even then probably covered... WHAT else are we talking here prey tell... either you know something non mainstream or else your talking shit, I mean everyone knows its shit at the moment, and I'm talking about decent players I know, not just me, although addmitedly I am a lazy bastard.

I'm not disagreeing with you, there is definitely a lot less to go around now but if you put the extra effort in then the returns are comparable to what they were a year ago.

Sceptre have no where near as many Deals or Electrocoins as Gamestec.

When you refer to 'playables', do you just mean REDs, Electrocoins, Dig Its and Aliens?

REDs are a waste of time for me. If I drove about looking for REDs that are showing red features or forced them blind then I would not class myself as a very intelligent or knowledgeable player.

Electrocoins are very profitable when they are numbering but I personally don't really play them as I wasn't in the game for the Cluedo period so never bothered picking up on the skill.

Aliens/Lep Golds are of course still profitable when not on P4 but they are quite well covered now and the losses when buying a drink and looking for a board can dent profits.

erm what exactly do you play then? Not aliens/coins/diggers etc. so what? Count your cash and that??? Cleudo's etc are really RARE, only know of 1 or 2. Reds agreed pretty pointless and rare too! Fames good obviously but they are super rare, especially here, all you find em in is services. Juice things are shit really, bookies stuff all done really now..

I'll play Dig It's when they are on the list / if I find them. Although I tend to avoid Empire Strikes Back as they are often very awkward.

HOF yes, Cops N Robbers if showing £5+ but to be honest, 75% of the time I tend to stick with the stuff that others don't touch.
