Could you not have gambled the bonus to get Knockout red, or at least have waited for it to land on normal Knockout, which it surely would've done? It doesn't necessarily need to be red to pay more than £35 ..bowie wrote:I got an 11 straight to bonus tonight, gave hi lo continue which won, pub was closing in 15 minutes, 6 mystery's later i eventually took the 35 cashpot, knockout wasn't red. Rubbish.

Re: .
£60 in for £105 is better than colecting £20 1st board wich would of cost a fiver anyway!bowie wrote:Not a mug at all, i took on ROTJ yesterday that offered 20 quid cahpot first board, still cost about 60 for 105, nearly every board was offering big cashpots and 10's,15's

Ignore them, you did the right thing, the safe play given the circumstances. Of course, if anyone wants to castigate you for not having a proper float to see things out, that's anouther matter, but given it was your last nugget, near closing time, you'd be a maniac to play on.
Choosing to play a safety shot was the best option. You basically had a shot to nothing long pot and around the black to come back, Jack. The repeat would be getting on the baulk colours and opening up the reds to start a good break. You always had that opportunity. The crowd may start jeering and mugging you off, but Jon Willen will say "quiet please" and you should make a solid break to leave 'em needing snookers and you should go on to win the masters.
