Ive said this all wrong lol I smoke but i dont care about the ban as i agree i hate smelly clothes and it is a health risk. Im talking a bit from experince, i had a drink problem and a gambling problem but you cant open your mail now without a casion / bingo ad etc popping up. Gambling is a specialist subject in my opinion and exposing fresh people to it is wrong. I have always gambled as im pretty decent at it but when i started it was you seeked it out, it wasnt advertised but now it is so how many people gamble now who are shite and loose get into debt etc just as the saw a pop up on googlesir ratholer wrote:Agreed with Mattb, someone gambling 24/7 doesn't affect an innocent person nearby, smoking does. I'm well glad they banned it, now I don't have to fumigate my jacket every time I come home from a days playing![]()

Everyone misses the point of the smoking ban - it's basically dwn to H&S in the workplace. It's main reason is to protect workers from potentially life threatening hazards in their workplace.
There are lots of people in society who have no / very little choice as to where they work. Why should these people be subjected to cancer causing secondry smoke?
There is NO argument.
Have none of you ever heard of a risk assessment?

There were still people at the time who were telling me that "everyone who works in pubs smokes anyway" and "if you don't smoke you could just go and get a job in a non-smoking pub".Yes I see what you mean, but the fact is that smoking is still perfectly legal too, just not in a substantially enclosed workplace.
Not good enough really!
