I've been getting p*ssed regularly recently. I've got a run that takes in 9 pubs. All of which I have either a pint or a bottle so I'm well going by the end of it.
Funny ive just got to have some sort of alcoholic drink if im in a pub cant help it!! (unless im driving i will still have 1 or 2! Naughty!)
I think it would be even more on top if you just bought a coke meself! but at the same time your not local so they would more and likely think your driving.
Still think Cardinal's shirt and tie/suit advice would help. People will and do think different of you! LACOSTE trackie and a CAP or a SUIT!
A few years back I worked in a pub and two lads regularly came in, one would buy a drink the other would empty the m/c, within a few visits the locals got p*ssed off. The last straw was when the said lad dropped £100+ (drinkless) and expected it to be changed, some people eh.
I've only been asked to leave one pub in my life for battering a Royal Roulette (impulse), I had no intentions of going back anyway as it was like something out of Welcome to Collinwood
For me though, if you buy a drink you can play the m/c as much as you want, albeit with a little discretion and catching the money helps also.

I used to manage a pub in Bristol. A guy would come in every other day, buy himself and his missus a coke. Then he would hit the three machines we had for £50-£75 each (Pie Factory another vivid and one more i cant remember). I told him one day that the machines were being replaced the following day and he proceeded to tell me exactly how empty PF and never came back again!!!! So i carried on making more money from that machine than wages!!!!
