I had eighteen set of them just on the Kent coast from Margate to Dymchurch.blackmogu wrote:The most money I ever made out of an empty must have been golden games. They were ubiquitous, and not many people were doing them for a long time. Even once the empty got chipped, for the best part of 1.5 years it was rare to find a set that you wouldn't make on just playing them blind to the correct method.
May have been different up North, but I certainly had the pick down South.
This was by far and away my best earner. I was banking money in various places and buying cars, paying the rent on my house for a year in advance etc. And when it was over, I had over £17,000 in coins indoors.
I celebrated by spending £160 in Bluewater then my mate laughed at me as he'd spent well over three grand in Cecil Gee (I think that was the place) & other designer shops.

I was very fond of suits you sir as I worked it out myself and had a schedule for betting shops and pubs. These didn't seem to get a new program for a long time and it seemed to go on forever - just ask my local branch bank manager about it. My record earners have been on £70 jackpots though with the longest duration being just over 10 months. With the less complicated stuff I tend to work on a timescale of 8-14 weeks if I wasn't aware of it on release. The more complex stuff is normally 6-24 months depending on stratergy, locations and most importantly whether anyone else is aware. There are a number of factors that need to to be taken into consideration, sometimes a short term approach can outweigh a long term one, but you need to know what your doing.
My good friend who studied at Oxford got an A* at Maths A level when he was still at secondary school. He derived an equation for me to predict how long a trick would last and I still use it as gospel to this very day. The equation is linked to the amount of people on it, time to complete, difficulty level, total units UK, and several other factors. Obviously there are a lot of estimations that have to be made, but if the estimations are within a certain threshold of accuracy then it is a very reliable indicator.
Regards, Sir Linesman

Sir Linesman? A few questions if you please?
How can your put friends 'equation' to good use when:-
You don't how many of said machines are sited in the UK.
You don't how many people(reliably) are on it.
There would be some people that take longer than others.
Difficulty level? Surely that depends on the players ability? Unless of course it's super easy.
You're right, there would be an awful lot of estimations!!!
But another great post, nonetheless.

Good spot.xhopz wrote:blackmogu is on about the empty... and how did you manage to be on this about 5 years before you started playing???
That arcade in Brixham has had many exploitable games over the years. They had a Flashback that worked, and I got one stop n step out of it then got banned. Nobody lasts long enough in there to 'bang' anything.
haha ! Last time I went there several years ago I did his set of GG and his random spinna :-)maverick69 wrote:yes, JG knows about me and golden games. not many knew about let em spins in early 2000's i wish i had kept my mouth shut at the start. i dint bother with them, then i worked out the turn down the flash and i started travelling.....the arcade in brixham i got barred from. banged that set
"If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?"
Buzz up the fiver pot, and then hold for fivers with the golden X. Machine didn't see the golden game as a fiver, and thought that it was ok to drop in a golden game when not due. Repeat and empty.johncluedo wrote:What was the empty on golden games?

that arcade in brixham. my uncle has a place down there, so my family visited there when i was a teenager.blackmogu wrote:haha ! Last time I went there several years ago I did his set of GG and his random spinna :-)
they had a bfm barcode (which anyone old enough will know could be emptied) in there. did it. it only had £20 in it so assumed that someone must have already done it. went to the pub next door and found a full one.
