Tis funny on Eastenders where when they dont want the machine to flash they put a quid in and just have the start button flashing, even though there is nobody playing it.
A mate of mine works in post production, and basically adds music & sound effects to films and TV shows.
He needed some fruity sounds for a similar pub scene, so he went down to his local with some equipment (he new the owners quite well), and recorded them from the (original) Italian Job they had - great m/c!
Someone left a credit in the fruity in Coronation Street on Monday. Fizz and her boyfriend missed that one. As you say you can often hear those very tinny sound effects from the early eighties in Eastenders with video game effects from classics like Space Invaders, Missile Command and Galaxian. The best programme for authenticity must be Blackpool. At least some research was put into that one!
Heh - he used to didn't he? I can't stand EE, but my missus' daughter watches it religiously. (I often try and be out of the front room for that half hour!).
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

Always wondered if that L/S worked surely it did.As for the payout noise on Ee and Corrie reminds me of the old 2p days £1 jp Kerching Kerching Kerching ya know what i mean.
