For some reason, Take Note offered random superholds all the time, so it was piss easy to empty it.

Once saw 2 guys empty one in a pub in Edinburugh (where I had just gone with the same intention). Not only did they completely empty it, they then had the audacity to build up a £75 bank, then ask the barman to witness their win just in case it didn't pay out.

Not only cooking the golden goose, but boiling the bones of its carcass to make soup.

Would this trick have worked on Cops & Robbers (£25 version, not club)?

Oh believe me, it offers it alright!
This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

Are there not about 4 different versions??

Only the most recent one, with the LCD screen, could offer it???

Though never seen it on that either, so I'll just carry on pissing in the wind.

Does this trick work on any recent machine like 2 years old?

If it did, I don't think any of us would be sitting here reminiscing about it...

It only ever worked on the £15/£25 versions of Snake Rattle n Roll, Lord of the Rings (the clone of SRR - not the later incarnations), Take Note and Cop the Lot (not the most receont one).

By all means, try it out if offered superhold on one of these machines (or indeed any other machine), but since you've more chance of getting run over by the bus from Cliff Richard's Summer Holiday, I wouldn't hold your breath that it will work.
