I find they're good for a bit of a safe gamble. I do quite well out of them as I try and only play units I feel will be good for a profit. Only machine in a small local = profit. One of many in city centre spoons = Loss. Easy.

I daresay players have better things to be doing but for a casual player such as myself I think they're good :)

flicks are not worth playing at the moment, maybe when theres a new chip out.
and people should know that the flick is saved up for, if you have backstreet units where people dont know about the flick it will flick all the time where as if everyone plays for it and takes them all out the machine wont do as much.

i found one that was dead and when i got the game open i got it straight away.

I understand enough by reading this forum that a flicker isn't the same as a flash, but what exactly is it? (or quiggle if people prefer me to use that word). Is it a particular group of lamps behind the decal that flickers, and how long does it flicker for? Does it indicate invincible, or is it a cue to play in a certain way? Barcrest TIOLI-type machines aren't really my area, but I'm curious all the same, to get an understanding of it.
