you know what most the people ive met on here ,,,,,,,,,, lugsy mcstreak red22 jg garychan etc ,,,,,,, are far far from what you might expect in real life ,,,,,,,,,,

lugsy is the nicest guy you could hope to meet , rich mcstreak is as every bit the professional player , and focused ,,,,,, russ is polite and observant ,,, gary is quite the opposite of the typical 18yr old chav you would think ,,,,,,, and jg ,,,,,,, jg ,,,,, well lets just say jg is addicted to monopoly hot proprtys, roulette and takes on 2dinging reel kings with no fear. has an astute brain ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but likes to annoy by editing others posts grrrr

but the thing they (and my lot in leicester ) all have in common is their adult professionalism in the real world ,,,,,,,

all these members ( myself included ) know how to have a laugh on here ,,,,,, we deliberately push each others buttons in jest , and instinctively know where the line is between having a laugh and being offensive . ,,,,,,, i can quite openly have a pop at lugs for example with some witty banter , and its met with a witty response ,,,,,,,,,, but between us all .,,,,,,,, we have respect for each other.

i think hrk, moterway, and a few others ,,,,,,,must still be kids , whose brains haven't evolved from the schoolboy days of my dads bigger than yours way of thinking .

you get all on the defensive as soon as someone has a laugh , and resort to threats of violence ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

take moterway, for example he chucks in a valid funny joke about a gay meet up , which is met with my £19 funny retort ,,,,,,,,

to be met with threats ffs

grow up

yeah innit bruv respec ,,,,,,,,,,, lol ,,,,,,,,

nobody and i mean nobody in the circles i travel in actually talks like that.

grow up and evolve you loons.

look forward to meeting everyone (yes even you pair of misguided children ) late december in london .

it will be a pub crawl and meetup ,,,,,,,, not a childish punchup

now all we need is an official date/ venue etc.

what about spoons leicester sq ,,,,,,,,,,,,, everyone should be able to find that easy enough?? :P

Yeah, I'd be very likely show my face too if it's in London or down south - I can't organise anything tho as I'm busy with quite a few things at the moment and have quite a lot of committments.
Bored of the grind.

Fri 18th would be perfect for me, as me and a colleague have the afternoon booked off for a bit of Lond-Bridge Ale-Trail, so will be in the vicinity... :)

Sorry: A colleague and I...

the 18th suits me better too. but coming to London to go to a wetherspoons seems a bit unambitious. i can be nearby easily and could do a recce to find somewhere a bit less grim which might have attractive machines. who is in charge of this meet? PM me and i'd be happy to seek out whatever AWPs are playable.
nobody ever wins on those things.

I went to the Leicester one last year, and while a big chunk of the people were Leics/Northants players....i'd not met any, and it was a right laugh. We got thoroughly pissed, had some grease filled takeaway at about 4am, tried to empty martals sweet crane ( ), then woke up cloudy headed and went our separate ways once again. I'd recommend going if you can make it!

Will try my best to get my arse anywhere if someone gets arranged.

As it's in London this year, I reckon around 25 would turn up, as around 15 players are in the city at any one time anyhow!

Yep, I'm definitely up for that! As you say, meet at the spoons as it's relatively easy to locate. Then, maybe Isty would be kind enough to locate / suggest some other watering holes that would be of interest? Looking forward to it. :)
