the top players are the quiet ones, not those who expose themselves to the danger of being banned, and therefore losing locations, by filming themselves hitting skills and generally acting like children.

Assuming you're referring to BFK. In his defence, that video was taken in our local spoons where myself and PMK (who were with him) are well known by the staff for being players, BUT (and here's the important bit) we're polite, always get a couple of pints in, never tool/plug anything so never get any grief.

I understand that you shouldn't start doing stuff like that in little local pubs and I know that most of the players I know wouldn't dream of it. But a good demenour, buying drinks and building a rapport in the pub means you can get away with a lot more.

For example, in another local chain pub we're, again, known as players. However we always make a point of chatting to the bar maid and when the bellfruit started getting tooled she said "We know you only play them with skill so you're ok" and actually told us how they were getting tooled (not her exact words but words to that effect).

Again, it's all about attitude (wearing a shirt and shoes helps too)

Fair enough mate, I must admit that these pricks running around tooling bellfruits make me sick, especially as they seem to go out of their way to hit wiyb, cluedos etc, making it harder for the honest to make a living, both with the attention it attracts and the fact the games are alive, but empty. you are absolutely right about the importance of maintaining good relations with pub staff and landlords. Sadly in some cases its impossible.....

It wasnt so bad seeing a couple of scrotes sparking a cloud9 or something back in the day, but whenever I see toolers these days, and lets face it they aren't inconspicuous, some even revel in the notoriety, I just wanna grass the cunts up.

Anyway...rant over!

I worked for a year in an arcade many years ago and we caught some fucker with a drill and a crowbar. The boss give him a slap and threw him out. With the old chipboard cabinets you could open the backs with an ordinary table knife. No alarms in those days
