I stayed a million miles away from that questionaire. Silence was the safest option.

WE have helped this situation evolve due to OUR playing habits. players have got off on big rolls, so therefore thats what has been churned out. How often did you see a JPM machine being played for hours on end? Never. I loved them - but they were only played by PLAYERS.
I think Chav666 deserves a lot of credit for that post - it hasn't had any meaningful responses because we've all read it and realised how right he is. We could easily sit and say that the manufacturers don't take into account the wants and needs of the playing public, yet it's our playing habits that mould the playability/profitability of the next machine to go into production. A cracking example being the PlayersHeaven questionnaire - why oh why did we fall into the trap of answering those loaded questions? It was only ever going to result in less playability.. and lo and behold, it has.

Interesting point too about the stakes/prizes, I agree it'd be interesting to play a 50p/£10 JP machine if it meant a more skill orientated game.

Those old school games with jackpot to stake ratios often held 5 or 6 times on jackpot so a decent return was possible. Our local arcade also set the machines to around 88% so the gameplay was less harsh also.

Cheers Nixxy for the comment. Much appreciated.

I'll think you will find the original Adders and Ladder, Hyper Viper were around 1980.
I was refering to the later versions on 20p £6 JP - '92 at the earliest. Best feature was super stepper I believe.

Ok, back to the original topic. I played PCB2 today and am rather disappointed. Impossible to weadle early jackpots. Boards that go in start on skill stop. Also it can offer jackpot repeater but block mega streak (which autocollects). No repeats on four attempts. Will try knockbacks when near full soon.

Looks ok and no horribly expensive boards (yet), so shouldn't be too unpopular.

Sometimes I just have to learn the hard way. Is it worth even KBing PMK? Or should I save my cash for testing out dead dials and auto pip games? Is it a one in every £3.5K save for streak?

This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has every chance of bankruptcy

in the know?

riiiiight.....

ok...

you see, with the fact that people are forceing the one youve seen, that would completely flattern the profile anyway...

do you have any mathematical skills?
do you understand the way the %age works over a period of time?

and by period, i dont mean the stinking wet crap that came out of ya mums fanny when she shat you out?

where were you born anyway? in a park or under a pool table?
left outside somewhere in a box till a bunch of gypsies found you and took you in as one of their own?

go back to dumbsville dickweed.
