Well if i had to pay for a mortgage too there's no way i could live the way i do now. As a rough estimate for fruit earnings in a year i'd say about £15k a year for me - £1250 odd a month, or £312.50 a week. Very rough guesstimate. Add in £4k a year for my part time CV filling job and it's £19k. Good enough to live a plush enough life at home with only £400 odd fixed monthly expenditure to deduct, but not a chance of having my own house.

Not to worry, though.....housing market has gone mammaries vertical now, so i'll get a 4 bedroom house for a tenner in a couple of years when all the brokers go bust :D 8)

The original topic was that Greenbelter has given up playing cos he keeps getting burnt. Thats is the correct decision.

I get burnt because I have no discipline and I never learn. But with Blackjack as silly as it sounds I feel safer. I have got myself a pay as you go credit card and loaded my £300 winnings on for the week. I intend to spend only this. If I can win £20 then I will walk away. If I blow the £300 then I'll not be too gutted but I'm going to see over the coming weeks/ months how much I can try and turn that into.

I have a job that pays me 32k a year so I don't need to gamble this is a just an experiment really.

Good luck to you all.

Best thing to do when you win a bit i find is buy something so you have a physical object to show for your winnings. Not spending any won money can be dangerous, as it totally devalues money. All you end up seeing it for is slotting funds and nothing else really. That said playing fruits full time devalues money anyway. If i lose £50 say, people i know who don't play can't believe it. They wouldn't dream of losing £50.

I was thinking, how long would a mega streak go on for on a Zimbabwean Cluedo? 50p gets you 650 billion zimbabwean dollars now. If you got a £116 MS it would be amazing and go on for years!

everyones calculations are a bit messy

ont forget that you "earn" tax free from fruits...

when yoiu get a job, if you are used to a 500quid a week profit, you need a job that earns over £750

that aint happening at burgerking

im gonna be straight as i can, i know im new to posting but.... i do get things early ... methods emptiers etc i make a living off playing bandits i average between £200 and a bag of sand a week sometimes more if my route has been pumped harshly which occasionally it has(of course these figures vary massively )

i quit a £20k year job last year to go full time playing ... i wish i hadnt, i dont enjoy it no more ,and the relentless repetitivness and the shit i get from landlords and the occasional pumper annoys me , so does the average bloke steve that wont leave the machine when its off its tits who seems determined to collect £10er after £10er and lets the number runners fly by like earlier today .even lime and sodas are getting on my nerves , along with this, the on top pubs where you must buy a pint when you walk in just to pour it down the piss stained troughs in the gents also gets on my nerves .

The fu***ing pubs where the plugs are behind the machines linked to an IT box a juke box the shit bel fruit next to the good bandit that are covered in cobwebs also piss me off, especially when some tw*t is singing to celine dion when you accidentally turn the cu*ting juke box off and the landlord looks at you like you have committed basta*d murder and bars you from the pub.... thus also winds me up... not to mention the keyslots that dont turn and the random pricks in pubs trying to tell you how to play and mentioning the inevitable " youve put a lot in that mate is it paying ? " - yes mate ive put £200 in it to chase a top you have fu**ed up from collecting the £15 you fluked off numbers in view you moron , wanna backstab me do ya ? your gonna wait a long time "

shit sorry got carried away, i love bandits they make my life complete , i agree i wish i never put a pound in that £4 token machine years ago... why oh why did it have to hold twice on JP!!!

off to play a luckydevil in an on top pub down the road ! pints being donated to the troughs again ! but until i get barred, the troughs can enjoy my carling !!! ( its 4p cheaper than fosters in there. )

Canada ? I'd be careful...Having been there in January skiing for 2 weeks, i can assure you its not cheap by any means.. Try $6.99 for a portion of chips with gravy and cheese. Typical meal is $25.00, + your drink, + 6%tax + an expected tip of at least 10%... Try the supermarkey for a can of lynks deoderant @ $9.99... If somone told you its cheap - they aint been !.. Ok this was in Banff, a popular tourist resort, but cant see it being 'that' much cheaper locally!

Going back to some of the earlier threads, people attempting to 'live' on fruit machines alone a) amount of good machines out there are few and far between, b) far less people are playing them. Dont matter how good they are if theres no money in em..

Inflation is rocketing, economy will not get better until at least 2010, heck even the labour government is thinking about dropping stamp duty for *uck sake, the UK is going for "bad times", all you can do is prepare for it.

People claiming they make ££££ and £££, forget one thing, 6months later machines will be gone or reglassed and chipped. ££££ turn into £, then -££. Days of making any 'pocket money' off fruit machines are long gone..

I started back in 1999, making 1k net per month Lottla L' Flashbacks, thunderbirds yady yady yar..Now i dont bother.. well maybe loose change - if i get a board, lucky me, if not..hey never mind.
Just glad i kept my well paid job!
"ahhh look dont bother going in there its a bell fruit"
