I could swear it was the 4reeler.

It was the only one that did not have a subtitle. It was simply known as DOND.

The 1980 classic "Noel Edmonds Swap Shop" was the first.

Three "Posh Paws "in view started the feature.

4-reeler it was, as it was derived from Take The Piece which preceded all the DONDs.

Harry2 - methinks you've nailed the Swap Shop phone number ... bloody good memory you've got :)

Jaffa that was on Going Live. Philip Schofield (minus the grey hair and pre Gordon the Gopher) and Sarah Green. 5 Star were guests on the show and someone phoned in and said they were a "their music was f***ing shit!". It was handled quite professionally from what I remember, but since then the show always had more of a delay on the 'live' feed.

4 reeler, Beat the banker, Wasps in your box?, Power 5, Walk of Wealth and then I stopped giving a shit iirc.

Used to be a Bling Bling, Take the Piece and Cabin Fever in a pub in Sherley. Useless info. First time I played TtP. Last time I played it was at Northampton Ten Pin. Had one in a pub in Kettering for a while. Sorry, boring info.

Never checked the George in The Tree in Balsall Common, or The Clock or that Toby wotsit on the '45, did they ever have anything good in 'em?

Lol.

I never used to like WoW. I stumbled into that pub nearby the Pallisades when I checked out Brum. Wotsit called? The Lizard?

Anyway it had panther, some Red and WOW.

From a distance I saw the WOW (bearing in mind I didn't know WOW had been released or that there was a WOW) and it looks quite similar to Wiyb doesn't it? Similarish layouts. Excited I plodded on, had a bit of fun in three other spots and returned (I had caught the pain into B'ham) to see it was a WoW with the note acceptor off. Stilll had a play and noticed there was no switchypoos and it cost about £12 for a board which I think I won back on that board.
I never rated them all that much, as I play in the same sort of pubs as Ob, they were usually dead.
