i did that once too. mistakenly turned off the footie in 'soho's premier sports bar'
but back on topic, i've enjoyed a pint with six of the chaps from the SWP side. i wouldn't have met them if it wasn't for this website.
nobody ever wins on those things.

Many thanks to PMK for setting things straight in my absence.

I am indeed an entirely different person (although our love of all day sessions is certainly common).

PMK was a bit of a mentor that helped me to make the transition from swedeist to player all those many years (and thousands of pints) ago.

Matt, I met you when I was at Butlins with Dunham, Kesh and Gary C, VERY fleetingly while you were playing £5 extremes in the Centre Stage arcade. Unmistakeably me, I would have been wearing a bit fruit machine pendant at the time (something I, thankfully, no longer own)

This is bemusing. I remember bumping into a couple of lads at Butlins up in centre stage, but i don't remember dunz/kesh being there! I'm sure i would have known if they were about!

I agree, I'm sure Kesh and PMK would be up for it. and Jackie's always about down there.

I'll leave that in your capable hands dunhamzzzz. Just let me know when where and how much.

I must have been thinking of when I went later in the year then. I was with that Nathan geezer in who reckons he's on top but leaves everything ready and we spotted Matt doing the £5 extremes.

It was Sunday night and I was smashed!!

That sounds more likely, it was February when i met people there if it helps. I see that Nathan chap doing stuff and playing just about anything when i last went a month ago. Funniest thing was when he changed £1 into 2ps and started playing the bus race game where you put your 2p in the corresponding colour (red wins 4p, blue wins 4p etc) and wait for the rigged race to go. Why would anyone play that?!

On that subject, before Bedford Megabowl was demolished i had a right day when i was about 10! Playing a 10p version of that above machine with the horses instead of buses. All mechs were faulty and all 10ps were dropping through but still giving credit! We just bet on the top 2 in every race until it went empty! Think we made like £45 which was amazing 13 years ago! 8) :D
