Yeah, just after Cash Zone barcrest brought out Money Maker(?) a 4 reeler where you could empty it by hitting the fruits to get 4 in a row.

Do you remember the machine - I think it was called Money Maker. One of the 1st 20p play £4.80 machines
Good old days.

Maybe it's the old age, but I think take 2 came out afterwards.
On the machine I'm referring to you could get jackpot by either 3 jackpot symbols or 4 of a kind bars, bells, grapes etc etc.
Third feature up was find the lady. The gamble was a suit of cards from 2 to ace going horizontally across the board.

Anyway, I stopped showing off on machines after I got barred from a pub.

I was only a teenager and was barred for doing the barcode (reel match again) . The landlord got really pissed off and banned me because he tried to get me to say that I was "strimming" the machine and I would not agree that I was. As I wasn't.

Martal - Jokers Wild - Wasn't that a £4.00 JP?
I think Bullseye was a £6 JP.

Trayhop - I can't remember Rat Race. What make and JP was it?
There were two ways to do reno reels. The original way was to only ever take the feature and nothing else. When they got chipped you could do them in the same way as Monte Carlos.

Funniest machine I think was Ace's Pay Rise. Do you remember that one? What could you do to actually lose money in it? I knew of 3 completely different ways to empty it.

rat race was from the 2p days of old m8 ,it had many clones like ace chase goldmine etc, after you plugged one it would light up low battery on some of them ,,,,(lithium bat backup wasn't up to scratch in those days lol) so straight after a successful jacky gamble you could switch off and keep repeating the process, old tubes didnt hold much though lol

payrise takes me back ,,,,,,,,, open the box find the pea and its brothers and sisters like twilight zone etc

as for montys ,,,,,,,, cars n jackpots anyone ??? :P

dont none of you young upstarts dare say things are better now profits maybe but as for playability ,,,,,,,,,,,, not even close

I remember about a month before I found out about the Ace machine line system I could play an Ace for 3-4 hours and end up £30 either way.
Nowadays, the only time you could say that on a machine is if you definitely had a method on one.

Regular punters don't play fruit machines any more. When a load of machines started to take a £10 upwards just to get on the board then a lot of people gave up interest.
