Sceptre

Post by Mattb »

Just a quick post to praise the customer service of Sceptre.

Was playing a cluedo in a train station that wasn't that ready but it stupidly gave pot off red SH when i serial skilled it in. Collected it out and it IOU'ed for £16. Told the manageress, who gave me Sceptres numebr to ring. Phoned them up sunday afternoon, left my details, and lo and behold my £16 cheque arrived wednesday morning with a nice hand signed letter apologising for the inconvenience.

I think everyone here will agree we'd love to see sceptre, crown, gamestec, mac and cherry automatics more widespread rather than the deathly shit % rip off money grabbers Leisure Link.

Nice service however I'm not impressed with Sceptres %'s. they've taken over most LL sites by me and any red I find is 70% or 72% with the exception of 1 invincible on 74%. I've even seen a DOND on 70% All Sceptre.

I have a Stack Attack near me that advertises 70% (privately owned, can't see a sticker) and it has gone £75 7 out of the last 10 times, never had one of these so good.

crown were always the best when it came to claims

always speedy, usually with a letter of apology ,stating we hope this doesn't put you off playing our machines in the future :P

as for worst claims, would have to be a paymaster/ leisure link services
'' sorry sir i know it owes you 62 pound but im only authorised to give you a pound, sign here and leisure link will send you the rest in a cheque in a few weeks''

lol, got a few of those on the go, not quite 20 years long in the tooth though.

When Vamp used to be at that services on the M5 (next one North from MW) can't remember its name now. Anyhow, the hopper jammed and I got my refund very shortly. Possibly Crown? Wasn't LL.

It was in Peterborough station  The stopper in there was full and natural DOND ready too - who's not keeping on top of that one!
