Current State of Play July 2008

Post by jeffvickers »

Well, dare I say, not as many mugs playing, all the money has gone, 6 people in the pub on a weekend, 80% of pubs closed in the day now, leisure companies lowering % on their machines to keep them afloat,
loads of pubs "To Let", the pubco then employs a couple of retards off a council estate, then pub "For Sale", then demolished, or converted in flats or converted into Money Laundering "Spice of Bengal", or something along them lines. Anything remotely playable, D&N, B4U, CCP, YDD, SRM, GADD, DOND4R, WIYB, P5P1, PP, RR etc. etc. ALL DISAPPEARING.

Instead, we see Games Media, QPS, Bell fruit clones, clones, clones, Showtime, unplayable garbage. 1 more year Boys, thats it!

Things aren't that bad yet. I'm still making a steady amount per week and i'm only a part time internet player
Pubs closing just means others get that bit busier. I've noticed more pubs cutting down from 3 m/c's to 2 or 2 to 1 but that means when it's down to 1 it's ready quicker if it's a good-un. There's enough bit's n bobs about to make there's just not the bonanza we had 12 months ago with reds everywhere for us internet players and WIYB/P5's for you lot.

I'm slowly but surely winding down my playing days. Noel Edmonds has taken over most pubs near me, and I'm not serious enough a player to bother travelling. I'll still have a punt maybe once a week, but I'm more focused on saving and offering family-provision than going out and trying to winkle out one or two machines that may or may njot be worth punting.

Lots of pubs closing in the one of the most affluent towns in the UK, Reading. One social club this week and the chavscum hole known as Brannigans.
